I believe the ruling is only if Maguire made an attempt to play the ball, he would’ve been onside. Since it was a deflection, and obstructed the keepers view, its right called off imo

you are misreading the rule and the situation

Sigurdson did not affect De gea moving to his (DG) right

the deflection made the goal unstoppable when Sigurdsson was there or not

it was not a clear and obvious error and VAR had no right to chalk it off

it is a corrupt and broken system that quite likely could end up costing us CL

and not just from this one call
