So the passive offside based on your explanation means nothing?

you can be passively office, IF your placement and/or action affects the opposing players movement

in this case IT DID NOT AT ALL

I believe the ruling is only if Maguire made an attempt to play the ball, he would’ve been onside. Since it was a deflection, and obstructed the keepers view, its right called off imo

you are misreading the rule and the situation

Sigurdson did not affect De gea moving to his (DG) right

the deflection made the goal unstoppable when Sigurdsson was there or not

The player on the floor, and I repeat the floor isn't blocking the keepers view because he is on the floor, the player on floor does not touch the ball and it goes straight into the net.

What exactly has happened to disallow this goal for Everton?

VAR theft

pure and simple

it was not a clear and obvious error and VAR had no right to chalk it off

it is a corrupt and broken system that quite likely could end up costing us CL

and not just from this one call

English football is broken

Wolves are now only 3 points behind us by the way. They aren't quite going away...

By next week Saturday evening, I expect them to be in 4th position. Cannot deny I am delighted seeing Spurs lose again though.
