DDA 9,983
I love the optimism in here but being the pesimist that I am... I just don't like to party this early in the season... In fact I don't believe we are winners until that trophy is being lifted in a sea of Blue. guddy69

He'll ba asked about it, and probably give some "He's faced a lot of criticism lately, I just wanted to give him a match off to get his head right" type thing. Utd. did this with De Gea too, when he first got there. He fought all comers and practically told everyone they're wrong about Karius, only to agree with them by dropping him? It's just bizarre and that will help the keeper's confidence a lot. Muzchap
Last Sicarius 610
Well Gundogan is out for few months so Pep cant play him, aguero and Fernandinho vs Arsenal. Draw or Arsenal win i expect.

But, a week off may have been good for his head.
Kezza 1,965
Only on 5 occasions have teams managed over 40 points after 16 games..all have gone onto win the league

If we look at the 5 teams who have had this many points, our current team is nowhere near in terms of quality. Conte is doing great work with us, at current rate we're on course for 94 points at the end of the season which is unbelievable. I liked him as a player when he was at Bvb, but its difficult to have such important player who gets injured so often. Same with Aguero or Kompany. City could have some big problems even when Pep completes his team. xPetrCechx and kmk108

But I don't understand this notion that our team lacks tremendous quality. We have Eden Hazard, Deigo Costa, Pedro, David Luiz, Azpi, Kante, Matic, Courtois, Fabregas and the list goes on. They have all won major trophies and play Internation football. We are not over acheiving this season. We were under acheiving last season. Special Juan 28,187
Motivation, inner belief and desire are 3 massive factors what Conte has brought. He's allowed players like Hazard, Moses and Pedro to express themselves. iceboy

I never said we don't have quality ourselves, We have quality in our team, but not on the level of the 4 teams that got a 90+ points tally. Unless you say we are as good as arsenal invincibles player for player, if we're not as good, we are overperforming.

We are playing alonso and cahill as part of our backline Our midfield lack of balance (Matic or Fabregas) Our bench consist of 32 and 36 years old cb and one young CB who have just recovered from long injury That is why people think we overachieve. If we have squad like United or City most of us will think we have been great but not overachieve kellzfresh
Milan 17,963
So while Jamie Vardy was just sent off for a two footed tackle, Rojo from Man United can do it twice a week without getting any punishment. Incredible inconsistency from the referees. kmk108

11Drogba 2,000
United might be 4th in March playing horrible football and their fans would say they will win the league. We win 11 games in a row beating major opponents and our fans would say it is unsustainable. Because of this difference in attitude they'll always have an advantage over us.
