Its the same with us though.Papers over rated us then when we did loose a game suddenly it was omg not so invincible after all..no shit seeing as they started that talk in November.More for them to write about.

They've got tough fixtures whereas ours seem easier but who knows. If we play like yesterday no problem. No back to weeks before then bit hmmm.Gotta take chances and make most of slip ups

City has a larger squad than we do and that is their advantage.

I thought they were unlucky in few moments against arsenal. How the hell did jovetic not score from that close range?!

That was one of the most blatant dives I have ever seen and the announcers were ok with it.

Mistake playing Lampard as he was very poor when came on. Game was too quick for him.

Great result though

Just perfect! Before the match I was all like "Arsenal are getting thrashed again", but had my inner hopes that they'll leave The Etihad with something. And there we go, back on the New Year's day City had the gap absolutely nullified and now two weeks later we're looking at regaining that 8 point cushion we had in November. The status quo can be shuffled in a flash.

I wish I could quote mine (or others') posts saying that we shouldn't be that worried about City closing the gap when they had all more challenging games to play in the second half of the season.

Even teams like Everton and Arsenal - who are far from brilliant (actually Everton is having a nightmare season and I developed a dislike for them, so yeah, not complaining) challenged them and got points from them.

They had laughable fixtures during the most challenging period of the league while ours was quite the opposite. We've visited all difficult places that were there to visit and the only big team we still have to visit is Arsenal, they have to visit everyone else except Arsenal (and now Everton).

It doesn't mean we can relax - we can't, but they have a high hill to climb in terms of difficult fixtures while we already did that.

Agreed B, a lot of the more level-headed fans who, when the others were shitting their pants, have said all along that City closing the gap was inevitible, have seen this coming from a long way off. Our first "half" of the season was far tougher; they've dropped points in games they should have quite easily won (Burnley, Everton, etc.), all from winning positions as well. We only really have Arsenal away as a tough, potential banana skin - games against City, Liverpool and United at home should produce a minimum at the very least of 7 points, IMO, especially if we want to win the title. City have it all to do; they won't win at Anfield (especially as that game is sandwiched between two games against Barcelona) or Old Trafford, to be sure, and they still have tough games such as Stoke and Tottenham that they have to visit.

QPR and Villa away can be a bit iffy.So hit and miss.

The rest should be winnable..better be anyway!Cant let a gap again and expect to get lucky in terms of City not taking advantage. Then again gotta win against City first.Drop points there and back to less of a comfort gap more of a who goes first sorta thing

Surely, surely, with how shit Villa are, there will never be a better chance to end the Villa Park hoodoo for José.

Fuck, we have to if we want to win this league.

Well he didnt break the Newcastle hoodoo so surely has to end one this season at least.Better bloody do anyway.N QPR seem to take points off us at some point so need to end that as well.Another 6-0 will do fine :D

exactly.points dropped against City and this means not a lot.Still can drop points elsewhere regardless of how easy the fixture looks before it starts

A draw against City is not entirely disastrous but we certainly cannot lose to them.

Can't dismiss West Ham away as an easy fixture though. Think that one is going to be pretty tricky/tough.
