I know United are a bigger global brand than us or any club in the world for that matter, but they sign a deal worth more than DOUBLE ours?

We should terminate the contract with Adidas and go to Nike.

More than double Real Madrid's deal too. Something's not right here..

Real Madrid's deal end in 2020.
Chelsea's deal end in 2023.
Arsenal's deal end in 2019.
Barcelona's deal end in 2018.
Liverpool's deal end in 2022.
City's deal end in 2019.

That is quite amazing. They are a machine when it comes to the business side of things.

At least we're not City!

I didn't know they were moving to Adidas.

So we sign a deal with Adidas, and a year later they ink one with United worth more than double that for roughly the same duration.

Hmm....I think I might remain silent on this issue so that I don't say something rude about Gourlay.

Simple, United is the biggest club then us and can hold sponsors to ransom.

We are not at their level yet.

Agreed, we're not but Real Madrid definitely are and they're getting the same amount as us.

Reckon Adidas will be getting some angry phonecalls from us and Real Madrid in the near future.

United is still the most valuable club as far as I remember unless real took over.

But United have exploded the Asian market and that's also something to consider.

We need to increase our market share in Asia.

United in the next 10 years will be able to spend big, in the last 10 years or so Ferguson didn't want to overspend on players, that's why he missed out on the likes of Hazard, Sneijder, Sanchez, Benzema, Essien, etc, in the next few years you can count on United signing these types of players (Big talents), no longer will they miss out because they are unwilling to pay an extra 5 million or give the player high wages.

Definitely. City and us were just easily outbidding them but now with FFP restrictions and the fact that they've got shit loads to spend with these new deals, they'll be a big force in the market - just look at the Shaw deal: £30m at £100k/week! I reckon they'll be able to outdo City in every sense now, but with the London factor and Mourinho I think we should do alright.
