EBH 283
They spent 100million. They are not supposed to escape pressure. If we spent that, we'll be skinned for not being on top of the table every weekYou can say this... but I do not think this is right... buying 5-10 decent players in exchange for one of the best in the world, it is not going to happen... Bale will have done more for Spurs then all those new player combined. It is like replacing Thierry Herny with 5 Francis Jeffers...I do not think Spurs will do well, because of this. He is amazing don't worry, but he isn't the type of player to raise a team to the next level.Bale created a one dimensional team that relied on one player far too much.I don't think Thierry Henry and Gareth Bale should be compared at the moment.Paulinho, Soldado, Chadli, Eriksen, Lamela in the same bracket as Francis Jeffers is mental!Spurs are much better team, than last season. Imagine if Spurs didn't reinforce and Bale tore his ACL, they'd at best finish 6th or 7th. kellzfresh and Rmpr
bushman 2,043
Selling Bale for that astronomical amount was correct. Real were stupid to pay that much.Current Spurs are in decent shape to challenge for top four, I feel. It takes time for the players to gel, that´s all. Just one or two injuries to Ozil, Giroud or ...Arsenal is going, nowhere. The same with Liverpool. Sturridge or Suarez out for 2-3 weeks, that´s all she wrote. As for Citeh & Chelsea both teams are loaded with top players. For these two, it´s a matter of time to get rolling. By December, I believe these two are on top. Of course, nothing is certain.

Soldaldo,(25 goals last season) lamela,(15 goals 15assists last season) Paulinho (fantastic box to box, brazil manager prefers him to ramires)Capoue (good DM)ChadliChirchesOnly the last two are not that good, and even with that they have massively increased their squad depth. They can play with two separate teams for europe and EPL without breaking a sweat now. They should be under pressure. Rmpr

They can play with two separate teams for europe and EPL without breaking a sweat now. They should be under pressure.I am not saying they are bad. But first, none of them play in Bale's position, second, Bale has done more in football than all of them have. He is the proven champion, they are the challenger. They have to prove themself... Bale did not. Because of this, I am thinking if Bale stay in Tottenham, then they will be doing better... only 6 goals in 7 matches. This is not good. This is like the relegation team, not the team wanting to come top 4, or top 2.Bale isn't that great. Imagine if Spurs didn't reinforce and Bale tore his ACL, they'd at best finish 6th or 7th.Are they all better than Jeffers? I think for all except Soldado, they are the same. Big young talent... nothing proven yet. Maybe they all become very good in 3 or 4 years. Or maybe they become exactly like Jeffers and become bad.I am making the hipérbole (sorry, I do not know the English word for this) when I call Bale Henry. But look who is the new winger for Tottenham. It is that Townsend idiot. They are weaker, for now, I think.... maybe all of the Francis Jeffers become good, then I will look stupid. But they will not become good for at least 2-3 months. In this time, maybe Spurs are 10th, maybe they will not do enough in the second half of the season to finish top 4.Also you are correct. Selling Bale is the best thing they have done. So much money for a player, who is only one injury away from being bad forever. He is like Michael Owen... if Bale break the leg muscle even once... he is finished. THen Real Madrid have 100 million player who is only so good as a 100,000 player. Arsenal sold andre santos to gremio, then gremio sold rafael marques to atletico mineiro, then bernard went to shaktar, who sold mkhtariyan to dortmund, who sold gotze to bayern, who sold gomez to fiorentina, who sold ljajic to roma, who sold lamela to spurs, who sold bale to madrid who sold ozil to ARSENAL. Popular Post! Namika 922 Posted October 10, 2013 Popular Post! The defender states that before he left Queens Park Rangers for Trabzonspor, Redknapp "with all his words said I was a spectacular player". Addressing QPR wages which Redknapp declared "ridiculous" in his new biography, Bosingwa says: “I did not force anyone to offer me the salary I was earning. They've hired me for the price they thought was correct for a player that came on a free transfer from Chelsea, that had been one of the players with most games that season, that had just been a started in the Champions League Final that Chelsea won. "If he thought the salaries were too high why did he sign two players with a bigger salary than mine?" Bosingwa's assessment of Redknapp's abilities as a manager is cutting. "How can he make a technical analysis of the players during morning training sessions, when he spends almost all his time in the dressing room doing business with agents and is rarely on the pitch?" says the former Portugal international. “He is frustrated. He thinks he's another Alex Ferguson, he speaks every day, even more than him. But there is a difference: in all his long career he has won just one title. "It looks like he doesn't know what he's saying. He's a bit confused. It must be age or, as everyone knows, the wine he drinks every morning at breakfast with his crackers."Bosingwa is a legend. EBH 283
Bosingwa is a very nice man, I think... I am sad he had the injury... remember, he was very good for Chelsea first year, then after the injury, he is not so good. But I do not believe Redknapp is speaking truth... whenever I see Bosingwa play for Chelsea, he is giving 100%. It is not his fault that this 100% is not good enough anymore. Can a lazy player keep Messi quiet when playing in the wrong place? And do it three times? Maybe he stop caring when he go to QPR, because he is already having the complete career... 2 Champions League, many league titles in Porto and Chelsea, FA Cup, many times he play for Portugal.. there is nothing left for him to do now. This is QPR's fault for signing somebody who is already happy with what they have, who does not feel the need to work hard anymore because they have already done everything. It is like learning to drive, I think. You have to stay on the learner licence for 1 year. But after 2 months, you know how to drive, you know you can pass the test... so you do not try so hard while you are driving. Such a player is only good when he is playing with people who he is automatically better than, he does not need to try to play good... so maybe Bosingwa should have gone to America, or Arabic country, or bottom leagues in Europe...I think we can have the same problem with Eto'o. He is the proven champion. He has done everything. Many people think, he is the best ever footballer from Africa. He has nothing left to do now except make easy money. I think he is thinking like Bosingwa maybe... I have done it all, why should I try now when I have already done everything I dream of? I hope this is not true.
