Jase 43,479
City looked good, although I will wait till they face a proper opposition before making any judgement. They're playing against United in a few weeks, aren't they?Once again very impressed by Dzeko even though he couldn't find the net today. Cheeky bid for him if we fail to get Rooney? Yes, City face Cardiff and Hull next (meh!) before traveling to Stoke and hosting United at the Etihad. Jype
Shane 2,275
Newcastle shot themselves in the foot with that line up. Sissoko, Tiote and Guiterraez in centre midfield against Man City away is criminal. Should have went for a more defensive outlook. Newcastle were very very very poor. Pizy 18,897
If we're being completely honest here, City are stronger than us in every area of the pitch except for attacking midfield. They have a better defense, better forwards, and a vastly superior central midfield. We buy one player in each of those areas however and it would probably take us above them. It's going to take a hell of a lot to finish above them but I have faith in Jose.Hopefully we're keeping some ultra secret deals going behind the scenes. RiKKY 9
Sergio Aguero is back for Manchester City after injury and scored second goal for City. I wanted him so badly in our team.
Toli 977
city have obviously the better squad. strikers wise they are miles ahead. defence is quite smiliar to ours, their DM is great (fernandinho was awesome today). they have good wingers etc and many options on the bench. clearly the favorites for the league title.and pellegrini is a real coach not like mancini. I can see them succeeding in the CL too.

DDA 9,937
Epeople forget how unpredictable football is and that anything can happen untill now and the end of the season. City did look mustard tonight but look at how we started last season allbeit with a weaker squad. Stingray
Tomo 21,751
We finished 3 points behind City last season and have considerably improved our squad, the only difference between us last season was the head to head's.I can see City dropping a lot more silly points than us this term, which could be the difference even if they beat us twice. Bosnian Blue 2,471
Once again very impressed by Dzeko even though he couldn't find the net today. Cheeky bid for him if we fail to get Rooney? No way now. We had a slight chance before they appointed Pellegrini, but now I definitely can't see them even considering to sell.
Shane 2,275
We started like a train in previous seasons and came up short. A 4-0 home win to Newcastle isn't going to win you the league!
Kojo 4,676
I remember two seasons ago Man City looked the bomb at the beginning of the season, what happened then? That's right they found themselves 8 points behind United with 6 games to go, and they where very lucky to win it.Stop deciding the title in the first game of the season! Ramires did great the first game of the season and so did Lampard. But Lampard won't be a starter every game, and if Ramires can maintain that form then we might have a chance. But this was one area of our game that sucked last season. We would be totally hopeless against those aggressive side, that when they pressure us people like Mata and Oscar would disappear. They can't take a Yaya Toure on your ass type of action. Ah I miss the old Essien and Maka type of players.

United didn't have the quality but they had the commitment, and that's why they won the title by so many points.Mentality and team work >>> quality. Mancini was a joke, just like Benitez at Chelsea. And both teams under perform despite having better squad then United. United only have one world class player in Van Persie that made all the difference. Combine with the fox of SAF, made for a great recipe. Pellegrini and Mourinho are both great managers. So both team shall do better then with previous manager.

Yaya Toure is a horrible twat, arrogant, lazy and couldn't give a fuck unless he got that paycheck. It isn't about having world class players in every area, it's about having the right people as well as players, not just players. Yaya Toure is also the type of person which will leave space open at the back, for the likes of Oscar and Hazard to take action. Do not overestimate them, they have the quality, but we have the fight and determination, we know what we have to do, and we also have the patience to wait teams out. There first game of the season they scored 4 goals, let them get all the pressure on them, let them think they will win the title. We scored 2 goals and passed the ball around 2nd half, Mourinho knows about the heavy games, so we took it easy, we hardly passed the ball at all in there half. That will benefit us come November to December. Stingray and Bosnian Blue

What makes Pellegrini so great? The fact that he already had a really good team but still decided to spend 100 million on brand new egos?Or Mourinho, who never lost a home game with Chelsea, won two titles in two seasons, won the Champions League with Porto and Inter. Also winning the La Liga which is the hardest job in the world with Real Madrid, where you have extreme pressure and huge egos who have so much power with the owner. This is what Ramires is suppose to be for us and he did it marvelous in the first game of the season. If he can continue that and improve then we will have a new type of Essien player bossing the mid like Yaya. Not a passive player like Mikel.
