Just get rid of Luton-Sheffield United, other European non-competing teams and then make the stage of 16 of the CL into a championship.
This will improve things without killing the EPL or the Bundesliga, or the serie A.
18 teams in Greece ? Since when ? It was the idea of the junta once upon a time so as to include a team from Cyprus (very-very weak teams back then). For Greece even 16 teams is too many.

I was hoping for Liverpool in the semis..

Recent years we lost decent amount of domestic cup finals, last year two, against Liverpool, without conceding a goal in two games and extra times.. Very shity memories. Not having good feeling about playing final against them. But Boro it is, let’s take care of them first.
