Liverpool’s attack is still packed with high quality, but they have some BIG decisions coming up soon. VVD and Robertson are nowhere near the players they were 3 years ago. Trent is a complete defensive liability and doesn’t even look great in attack anymore. They haven’t adequately replaced Fabinho yet. Salah apparently may want out. That’s a huge part of their core gone or fallen off.

That’s why I thought it was INSANE when you had all the Liverpool fans and so many pundits thinking Liverpool were the more attractive long term project for Caicedo and Lavia compared to us. In 2-3 years their best players will be in their mid 30’s whilst ours won’t even be in their primes yet.

I have been preaching this for 2 years

many of their huge key players were hitting age of down turns and TAA is always a time bomb waiting to collapse defensively

if Salah (who is hardly young himself) leaves they are really in a mess, barring some big buys this next 5, 6 days

And unfortunately for them (but hilariously for us and all their rivals) they don’t have an ownership that will spend mega money to rebuild them quickly. Their rebuild within the next couple of years is going to be painful and LONG.
