Be nice...can't see it. Liverpool are kinda shite and Arsenal not so. Think that win against Bournemouth was a huge turning point for them..

i think they draw tomorrow. Lose again against city and drop more points to newcastle and us

Hmmm maybe not us! Though we have to beat one of the teams above us again sooner or later.. the only one we've done so far is Villa in October..thats shite

That was different Villa with Gerrard. 17th place at the time.

Imagine what it must feel like to watch a team that scores at will and has a striker that can score 30+ goals in one season. I honestly can’t.

Chelsea is one of the biggest, most successful, most expensive teams in world football and yet we could watch ONE PLAYER on Man City score more than our ENTIRE TEAM over a 38 game season.

That's what happens when you keep buying individuals who don't fit a tactical system.

You're telling me a combination of Havertz, Auba, Felix, Sterling, Mudryk, Madueke, Ziyech, Pulisic, Mount can't somehow combine to score 30 goals in the league?

The problem is, we stockpiled players for no reason (Felix and Mudryk were not really needed in January and Madueke looks a young talent but quite raw)

Grealish was laughed at for his big move to City but the sad thing is, he's better than our entire attack combined as he can at least create chances for Haaland/Alvarez/Mahrez.

Håland has scored more league goals than our entire team and in far less minutes (2187 v 2700, and likely we have actually played 2850-2900 or so, counting added time, and Haåland has often left games early so far less added time). Plus Citeh have only played 29 league games to our 30.

30 league goals for Håland, v 29 for Chels.

He has 44 goals overall in less than 3000 minutes total played. Deffo has a shot at 60+ for the season with 40+ in the EPL alone.

Next season I can see hin scoring 50+ league goals if Citeh fill in some issues they have and Pep lets him run riot.

Madness.

Only two players in any remotely top European league have ever scored 50 or more league goals in a season.

PGMOL boss Howard Webb apologises to Brighton for VAR error over Kaoru Mitoma penalty vs. Tottenham

https://www.espn.co.uk/football/english-premier-league/story/4919808/pgmol-boss-howard-webb-apologises-to-brighton-for-var-error-over-kaoru-mitoma-penalty-vs-tottenham

Howard Webb has spoken to Brighton & Hove Albion and admitted the VAR should have awarded the Seagulls a penalty in Saturday's 2-1 loss to Tottenham Hotspur, sources have told ESPN.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg stood on the foot of forward Kaoru Mitoma in the 70th minute when the score was locked at 1-1, but referee Stuart Attwell waved away the penalty appeals and the VAR, Michael Salisbury, didn't intervene. Harry Kane won the game for Spurs nine minutes later.

It was one of a number of controversial calls at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, all of them going in favour of the home side. As well as Mitoma's penalty claim, the Japan international had a goal ruled out for handball, as did teammate Alexis Mac Allister. The Seagulls also had two penalty appeals turned down against Clement Lenglet, one for handball and another for a shirt pull on Lewis Dunk.

Webb, the chief refereeing officer of the Professional Game Match Officials Limited (PGMOL), the body responsible for match officials across English football, has promised greater openness and transparency over decision-making when clear errors occur. But this is the third time this year Brighton have received an apology this year.

Brighton were also on the end of a VAR error in their 1-1 draw at Crystal Palace in February when Pervis Estupinan's goal was ruled out for offside. PGMOL admitted this decision was wrong, with the offside line placed in the wrong position by the VAR, John Brooks, and the Hawk-Eye technology operator.

And in January, Liverpool midfielder Fabinho should have been sent off for his challenge on Brighton forward Evan Ferguson in an FA Cup tie but the VAR, Neil Swarbrick, took no action.

Brighton have been the worst-affected club in the Premier League this season, with only two VAR overturns in their favour and eight against.
