I mean it doesn't much for anyone to raise their game against us atm lol. Any team who can string passes together has us chasing them! All city had to do against us was show up...

Southampton took chances...12 shots. We managed 3 shots Sunday lol

What sort of bullshit is this 😂

They didn't raise their game for us, we were just absolutely pathetic, if thats City raising their game then they wouldn’t have won what theyve won under Pep 😂.

Be interesting to see how the Manchester Derby is but I reckon they’ll find another gear and beat United, who are in goos form, City always seem to be able to.

'He can't be going anywhere but Man United': Rio Ferdinand insists Erik ten Hag MUST sign Harry Kane from Tottenham to fix their No 9 problem amid reports Old Trafford club will chase England captain this summer

Jim White asking Stuart Pearce this morning can Arsenal win the PL?

bit of a stupid reply from him, he makes them favs, even though he admits they have still to play City and are not halfway through the season.

Then he says they could be 8 points clear on sunday, forgetting if City beat United and Tottenham beat Arsenal it will be down to 2 pts.

Simon Jordan then said about injuries, Arsenal have had only 2 all season, and only Jesus is a starter, the other is Smith-Rowe.

consider we have 4 out of our back 5 out, James, Chilly, Forfana and (maybe Mendy, going by Kepas last efforts) would play.

Also Kante would be a starter and maybe Pulisic (although not for me).

Now take away Saka, Martinelli, the rapist Partey, Ramsdale, Gabriel, Saliba and see how Arsenal get on

Benjamin Mendy found not guilty on seven counts but awaits retrial over two charges

The Manchester City star has been found not guilty of five rape charges, one count of attempted rape and a separate accusation of sexual assault.

Benjamin Mendy has been found not guilty of five rape charges, one count of attempted rape and a separate accusation of sexual assault. However, Manchester City star faces a retrial in June after the jury failed to reach verdicts on two counts, one of rape and the other, attempted rape.

After 14 days of consideration at Chester Crown Court, Judge Steven Everett dismissed a jury made up of seven men and four women, the Mirror reports. They had initially been ordered to reach unanimous decisions on all 18 charges against Mendy, 28, and his co-accused Louis Saha Matturie, 41.

During the 12th day of deliberations on Wednesday, Judge Everett announced he would accept a majority decision but the jury of 11 were still unable to reach a verdict, meaning the judge was forced to bring the ongoing trial from August to a close. Addressing the jury, Judge Everett said: “It is not unusual that jurors don’t reach verdicts on some counts. You have to be true to your duty.”

He excused them from any further jury duty for seven years. Mendy, of Mottram St Andrew, Chesire, has denied all charges. The France star has been suspended without pay by Manchester City since he was first charged in September 2021.

Matturie, of Eccles, Salford, has been found not guilty of three counts of rape regarding two teenagers. The jury failed to reach verdicts on three additional rape counts and three allegations of sexual assault against him by five other women.

Four weeks into the trial, Mendy and Matturie were found not guilty of an additional count of rape against a 19-year-old woman after video evidence was shown in court that proved consensual intercourse took place. After the jury was discharged, Matthew Conway, representing the prosecution said they would be seeking a retrial on the counts the jury failed to reach verdicts on.

Mr Conway said: “The prosecution has made a decision. We have made a decision today, which is to proceed on these counts in two separate trials and we seek today a provisional case management.”

The retrial is due to begin on June 26 and is expected to last two to three weeks. Mr Matturie will be tried separately with his trial initially due in mid-September.

In a statement, Man City said: "Manchester City FC notes the verdict from Chester Crown Court today, where a jury has found Benjamin Mendy not guilty of seven charges. The jury is hung on two charges and the trial is now over. Given there are open matters related to this case, the Club is not in a position to comment further at this time."
