The schedule is quite favourable for us, although I am actually shitting the Brentford away game right after the international break. But we can seriously go on some run and create at least some little gap.

Knowing us though, Brentford will take something next weekend lol

Yeah, watching wide strikers like they have is much more exciting than having a lone #9 for me. Werner was one of the best around in Germany but we see how that’s going…

They are more inverted wingers I would say given how far they track back and how wide they stay off the ball in transition. Werner never really was a wide player more of a second striker. But he lacks the low Centre of gravity and tight ball control/dribbling of the Liverpool duo. That is why he will never have their impact in PL

i would love to have wingers with just this little bit of extra physicality and improvisation technique. All our wingers lack this and it makes them so much less decisive

Imagine if City are able to sign Haaland next summer, btw. They’re probably thanking their lucky starts that Kane didn’t happen because he looks a shadow of himself now.

They’ll walk the PL for the next 5 years with Haaland.

He is likely going to Real Madrid along with Mbappe (99%)

Erling Haaland will be able to leave the German side in 2022, claim AS

Real Madrid: Haaland transfer pact remains, despite Borussia Dortmund CEO's "bullshit" claims

Hans-Joachim Watzke's recent comments in an interview on German TV do not tell the full story about Erling Braut Haaland's Borussia Dortmund future.

Haaland has Dortmund's word he can leave in summer 2022

However, the reality of the situation is quite different. AS has been told by Dortmund sources that the club continue to have an agreement with Haaland’s agent, Mino Raiola, whereby they will agree to negotiate the player’s sale at the end of the current campaign.

The striker’s side of the bargain was not to push for a transfer in summer 2021 - despite having major offers from top European clubs - and to wait until next year. Having done as agreed, Haaland is now all set to depart Signal Iduna Park in the summer.

Brenford game will fcking massive. They play really good offensive style. We will need our defence to do top performance. And some magic moments from Mount.

English football's claims of superiority over the likes of La Liga and Serie A are more valid than ever

basco.PNG

By Chris Bascombe,
Football reporter

Are we watching the greatest Premier League season ever?

Based on the quality of games, the attacking ambition of the majority of teams, and the number of elite players at their peak, there is cause to believe so.

Claiming the Premier League is the finest in the world can leave one vulnerable to accusations of leading a marketing campaign.

The most exciting? For sure. The best? Naysayers have generally been able to point towards the technical superiority of La Liga, the tactical nuances of Serie A, the fan-friendly-tastic Bundesliga, or the emerging coaching talents honing their skills in the criminally overlooked Categoría Primera B in Colombia.

Fly the flag for England’s top flight and you can sound insular and arrogant, blind to the Premier League’s many flaws and mistaking entertainment for high quality. Not now. Seven league games into this season, English domestic football’s claims of supremacy are more valid.

Pep Guardiola added his weighty voice to those arguing the Premier League is the world's best following another compelling encounter with Liverpool, which was capped off by Mohamed Salah's spectacular goal. The two elite English clubs going two-to-two enhanced the idea that Manchester City versus Liverpool has become the most technically and tactically watchable fixture in world football. Barcelona and Real Madrid once made that claim, unchallenged, about El Clasico. But as Spanish football deteriorates due to its financial strife, the Premier League appears to have emerged even stronger from the pandemic, despite its clubs’ lingering economic concerns.

It goes beyond England's top two. European champions Chelsea are ready to challenge for the title again, while only two points separate the top six; Cristiano Ronaldo’s Manchester United return made the pulse of PR reps race as much as fans, and the enlightened approach of newcomers Brentford has added a fresh dimension. Their 3-3 draw with Liverpool surely ended the era of promoted clubs believing they can only survive and thrive against the best via defensive resistance rather than showing offensive purpose.

The Premier League truly is a joy ride in 2021/22. Buckle down and savour every adrenaline rush.

Mohamed Salah has now scored in seven matches in a row in all competitions, equalling his best ever scoring run with Liverpool, doing so for the first time since April 2018.

How long have the English media waited to say this? 🙄

Newcastle: Saudi-led takeover could be back on after beIN Sports issue resolved

Potential deal still needs Premier League approval but significant progress has been made; agreement could be reached soon which would bring Mike Ashley's 14-year ownership of Newcastle to an end

This could be HUGEEEE

Probably got a few more trillion than man city that lot

Brighton's Yves Bissouma is rumoured to have been arrested for sexual assault.

Shit.. Mendy, Sigurdsson, now Bissouma.

This one seems less serious than the first two (but still a huge deal, obviously). The first two are charged with some paedo shite (Gylfi Sigurðsson) and then Mendy with out and out multiple rapes, including a 16yo (Mendy is still in custody). Whatever happened with Bissouma happened inside a club and he is already released pending investigation. The asshole probably was drunk and tried to fore a kiss or an ass grab on a woman. What a cunt.

Yay another foreign state sponsored ownership, but even much more wealthier than PSG and City.
