Nope. They have always more or less played with Aubemyang left wing and Lacazette up front. Initial stages of last season yes, but 3/4 of last season, Aubemeyang has usually started primarily on the LW.

Anyway...

I mean let's face it if he had any ambition, he would not have signed that contract, but money speaks, I can't see how Auba is content to play LW every game. This season he just looks like, 'fuck it, I got my paycheck, why bother'. Today is not the only game he has been limited to no shots on goal.

Speaking of money...

I hope Arsenal win the league cup so it keeps Arteta in a job longer!

After the United game, Ian Wright suggested that Arteta in charge of Man Utd would have turned them into title contenders

Just looking at the league table and see that Arse have a negative goal difference and have only scored 9 goals this far. 😂😂😂

Arteta's Arsenal side is literally the opposite of Wenger's. In all the biggest games against the top teams Arteta plays ultra-negative, Mourinhoball and grinds out flukey wins. Then they choke against teams they used to feast upon.

Genuinely don't understand why he's being/been so hyped, what are people seeing that i'm not?

There's some nice patterns to play out from the back or through the press otherwise it's nothing special. Defensively all he's done is put more players behind the ball. Decent start and good results considering the players at his disposal but it was obvious their hot form(end of last season to start of current season) was unsustainable.

Was out all day with wifey and friends, just sw the highlights of the Arse Villa game

Barkley had a monster game (other than that dodgy offside VAR call that chalked off a goal)

Grealish is a best, and Watkins is showing he is a viable EPL CF

Terry has their defence playing well

Arse look utter pants, they collapsed

I think Arteta learned more about football management from David Moyes when he played at Everton, rather than Pep.

His team play more like the Everton of yesteryear, occasionally punching above their weight to upset strong sides :-D
