I don't think even Lampard, Solskjaer or Arteta can complain about that, another type of coach in their place would have suffered serious criticism at their worst. Arteta is starting, it is still early to assess what he can be, he managed to order the team and win two titles where he was not a favorite. But it is one thing to play qualifiers or finals in speculation and another thing to achieve results in a demanding and long League and assume the role of favorite in most games. The Arsenal squad is very limited, the problems are still there, the Europa League games will make a dent. And when Auba is not there, the level drops immensely, they are still a long way from being able to dream of qualifying for the Champions. And this is what they need. Finally these clowns are using the technology as it should've been used from the start. No more VAR guy up in a booth always sticking with the on-pitch ref's initial decision. There will hopefully be a lot of stupid referee decisions overturned after they check the monitor this season. That's the same amount he had in 2013/14, 2014/15 and 1 more than in 2016/17. It's not really as eye catching as it sounds though. 1 assist was a deflected shot, and another 1 from a corner. The 3rd was indeed a beautiful cross field ball to Aubameyang, who still had some work to do before his brilliant goal. Still makes for shitty paper talk though, and a reason to rub it into our faces. But face it, coming off last season's form, it was highly likely Willian would contribute well to Arsenal.
