Pizy 18,948
Spuds are absolutely turgid to watch under Mou and very rarely even look like scoring without Kane bailing them out constantly. Really paying the price for years of neglecting the attacking areas with serious competition. Now we watch for a decent result between Sheffield United and Arse. No Auba so I like Sheff United's chances. Vesper
Atomiswave 6,117
Its a poor squad with very little depth....JM knew this damn well when he took the job, but desperation probably took over him. Vesper

Wouldn't surprise me if he genuinely thought Mourinho could have got his 00s aura back and got that Spurs sides 15-17 level back along with it. Very id go as far as saying gullable appointment by him. Vesper

I'm not sure he did. I think he fell into the trap many have of rating that squad based on what they were not what they are. Laylabelle 9,536
I dont think Spurs are so much of a threat. Man U have potential and we have such a shit run on paper coming up.. Arsenal..Leicester..Man U and Spurs. Our main rivals is ourselves having moments! Vesper

The job he's doing with so so backing from the owners (only spends what's made in sales) is ridiculous. Maybe recently but nothing beats what Clough did with Forest. He got them promoted with us in 77 to then win two leagues and two european cups with a team of journeymen was nothing short of miraculous especially considering how dominant Liverpool were then. Pizy 18,948
Mou & Spuds was a really poor fit stylistically and personell wise. Think Arse would've been the job he should've gone hard after. A side that already has lots of attacking quality and don't need much coaching in that department. He could've gone there and maybe solidified them at the back and in midfield. Become a hero for pushing Arse through their glass ceiling. Without serious, huge investment in the summer I think it'll be disastrous for them/him next year as well. And with Levy above him... Its impressive how quick he has taken them to the high levels. 2 Champions league finals in 2 years running..winning one. Losing the league last year by just a point and running off with it this year. That and the hmm around his big money signings but theyve paid off! May have started a little slow but they showed patience and its paid off big time. They'll be up there for a long time to come

Yeah, people make fun of them after 0:9, they were in relegation zone and look at them now. Same points as Spurs and Wolves.
