Pizy 18,909
Rodgers will surely be highly sought after by a bunch of English teams in the PL next summer. Bet he'll end up at some midtable side.

didierforever 7,349
Klopp is tailor made for Liverpool, tbh. Good at working on limited funds, developing talent, and is a terrific man manager. He'd make them relevant again within a couple of seasons.seriously?
Pizy 18,909
seriously? What do mean "seriously?"Sure they spend a lot compared to most clubs, but they can't compete with ANY of the club's above them for players. They won't/can't spend £40m, £50m, or £60m on a single player or a couple of super stars. Any manager who takes over at Liverpool will be handicapped and restrained by their place in the food chain. They know they can't attract stars so they hoarde loads of mediocre ones.Difference with us is that we CHOOSE not to spend £40m on players. We could if we wanted to, they can't. Blue-in-me-Veins 4,067
liverpool have spent 350mil pounds in the last 5 years.hell, when was the last time we spent 40mil on a player? The next manager will definitely have the 'funds' but they won't be on his targets.Rodgers was constantly fighting with the Fenway Sports Group, because they have been picking the targets and expecting Rodgers to make it work. They were constantly butting heads over transfer targets, and Rodgers hasn't been given the complete control he'd like. Also, I think what @Pizy is trying to say is that Liverpool, without CL, cannot attract world-class, ready made targets. They have to buy young, talented, but unproven players like Sterling, Firminho, Carroll (lol), Coutinho, Sturridge and hope they grow into Suarez's. That's just a fact. I think what happened was, the Owners saw the talented players they picked, especially Suarez and doubled down on their policy. On the flip side, Rodgers nearly won the league, and expected he'd get more lee-way and trust from the owners to pick 'his' players, and that hasn't happened. So yeah, we don't buy 40M pound players, but we can get players like Costa, Cesc, and Pedro. Ready made players. Liverpool cannot. The 'limited budget' is really on the profile of their targets, not the figure. Essien19

They know they can't attract stars so they hoarde loads of mediocre ones.Difference with us is that we CHOOSE not to spend £40m on players. We could if we wanted to, they can't.That is a very poor argument!Liverpool is the 5th club who most spent since 2010 and all they have to show for is a miserable second place on Premier League and 1 League Cup on penalties. That is absurdly low for the 350 million that were invested. Also, money spent is money spent. If they decided to splash 40mil on mediocre players, it's their fault. This notion they have to overpay cause top players dont normally want to go there is complete bullocks. Just look at how Porto, Dortmund, Shakthar, Atletico, Napoli, etc., can sign way better players for half the price. They are also not the very top tier of European football but they are smart in their business. In resume, if you spend 350 million on transfers you should at least have a squad who can finish top 4 and push for cups whenever posible. However, all Liverpool was able to achieve was 1 great season due to Suarez and a bunch of flop stories! They can attract star players IF they have a manager that players want to play for and a realistic shot at success. Whoever has been in charge of transfers just haven't wanted to put the money in for star players in the last few seasons. didierforever
