Fulham Broadway 17,361
Title is misleading as doesnt really answer the question. Nonetheless, quite interestinghttp://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/timvickery/2011/04/will_piazon_stand_out_at_stamf.html
LDN Blue 7,903
Interesting comparisons the writer has chosen, like Mascherano & co. But as he says, only time will tell whether this was a prudent investment or not, I certainly hope so. Though these kids from Brazil don't settle quickly (as demonstrated by people like Anderson) so patience will be elementary.
Peace. 4,352
Good read. In my opinion, to buy young players like him is always a gamble. I'm actually happy with that. "Who dares, wins".
BomTrett 50
I gave it a read, and i thought it was a decent article.I guess we've taken a gamble and hopefully he'll come good. I just dont wanna see another Di Santo, tall and strong as a youngster looking good, but cant really cut it at Wigan. We keep the faith though

termninja 5,290
Yap I gotta agree with the article, it is a gamble. We shall see. I don't think Roman cares too much if he "lost" 5-6 million. I'd certainly like him to be a success here and the chances are pretty good I'd say.
Henrique 9,133
Piazon said he is likely to be loaned to a small club, to get experience in english football.
Bir_CFC 3,455
He is very very young so once he joins us we can assess the situation and develop him our way. Our youth setup is very good now, a lot of youth players are doing very good. I think he will turn be good for us.

Madmax 9,219
The money we paid makes him a gamble. Had we gotten him for peanuts, we wouldn't even be discussing this.
GodZola 630
There is always a fear that every young player may not develop but what really has impressed me with this lad is that he can use either foot & he has vision, something he is not going to lose as he gets older, if anything he could get better as he grows in physique & matures, let's not also forget that he is not playing against mediocrity in these tournaments. This lad looks top drawer to me & let's hope he gets the right coaching & they look after him mentally, it also helps him that we have 3 Brazilian's already. eldo 868
Two years ago, Piazon was outstanding at the South American Under-15 Championship, finishing as top scorer with nine goals. This time around, he only managed three, none of them in the decisive second round.Wrong. He scored one. Their top scorer Leo managed to score 4. So only three?Could this be a youngster who had an early advantage because he matured physically so quickly but, as time went on, stood out less as others caught up?So he is just assuming that Lucas matured quicker than others.
