It'll give Carlo a chance to experiment with Anelka - Torres. Anelka can play with both so if those 2 can form a better partnership, then Carlo would've found a way for Torres to fit into the future plan. This game should be dedicated to experimenting for Tuesday's match. If this doesn't work, we can revert to 4-3-3 because Anelka can drop (barely) wide. Tomo 21,751 Posted April 9, 2011 Share Posted April 9, 2011 Last time i can re-call us with a Saturday 3 o clock KO on grand natinal day it was at home to Birmingham in 05.It was a return game on the 2nd game of the season (like it is today).Players were rested (like there gunna be today).In between the CL quarter final legs (like todays is)Drogba came of the bench to get us a 1-1 draw.I cant help but feel a case of de ja vu. Anelka - Torres seems to be the best possible partnership. And Bosingwa's not playing, it means a win. If Essien doesn't improve on this game, Carlo should definitely start Mikel over him on Tuesday. I would like this to be a regular match which we win 2:0 or 3:0, not a equal fight between two teams I've been seeing us play like against some other teams.
