Hulk is pissed right now.....

Willian.did the same like him moving to russia, because from there its easier to come in PL/PD. Ukranian and portugese clubs are real hustlers, so its hard to move from there in Premier League.

Poor Hulk. Willians plan has become true. Congratulations !!!!

He also came out and spoke a lot about wanting to join us and BPL before he joined Anzhi. Maybe when there's a will, there's a way :D No seriously he deserved this.

What pisses me off about this transfer is not the transfer itself but the Schürrle signing. Why didn't they just try to sign Willian in the first place instead of splashing out 17m or whatever on a back-up and then paying a huge sum for another winger when we still need to fix other areas of the squad?!

And don't even start this "Schürrle can be a striker" BS. If you seriously think a guy who was one of the worst players at converting chances in Europe last season (if not the worst, don't remember the exact numbers) can be a decent striker you probably should have a look at Schürrle's past year at Leverkusen.

Well said. I believe only Jose could explain and answer this question.

It is strange, i heard something about why does he want Willian when he has five of them at home or something.

It is strange that we should have been concentrating on finding a guaranteed goalscorer, Rooney is definitely not that.

No such thing as a guaranteed goalscorer, but saying that someone who has scored 100 goals over the last 4 seasons is definitely not one is a tad strange. :carlo:

Was Willian a viable option before we signed Schurrle?

As for Schurrle and his conversion rate, coaches I know will always say that finishing can be worked on but that knack of getting into the right positions is something instinctual which can't be taught. Schurrle gets into those positions, but he needs to work on his finishing.

What we have now is depth and options in one of the most important positions for us on the pitch. Again, I'm happy to give the club the benefit of the doubt on this one because they know far more about football than I do.

Yes perhaps not guaranteed but definitely in the form of their life like RVP at UTD is. I am sorry but Rooney has peaked, we should have been looking for someone else, and i fear we are not going to get another striker or will get Wayne who spent a long time not scoring for Utd, we already have Fernando, bless him :(

So 27 year old Rooney has peaked, but 30 year old RVP is in the form of his life?

When exactly did Rooney peak by the way? Was it in 2010 when he scored 34 goals or what is two years later when he scored 34 goals? There's a lot of bullshit spoken about Rooney when the sensible thing is perhaps to hold your hands up and say you simply don't know what you're talking about. I don't know whether he's peaked or not, but I do trust the views of Jose Mourinho and he doesn't seem to think he's peaked does he?

Simple rule of never questioning Jose. It might not make sense to us, it most definitely makes sense for him.

Typical response. Just because he's Mourinho, doesn't mean he can do no wrong. People seem to forget that he has a bit of dodgy record when it comes to transfers, just like at Inter for example. In fact, all managers made dodgy purchases before. So, not sure why we have to immediately trust or believe the purchases Mourinho made is the right one. If we had other manager in charge instead, think even more of us would be questioning his decision to get Willian.

Looks like Mata will be on the bench from now on

As much as most of us are all paranoid and worry about Mata's future under Mourinho, it's somewhat ridiculous to say that a new signing will just come in and immediately bench our 'Player of the Year' for the past 2 seasons just like that. If anything, Willian needs to come in and prove he deserves a place in the starting XI, just like everybody else.
