Like fuck we don't need him. We may come very close to the title without him or any new world class forward, but of we want to win it I can't see us doing it with our current ones.

Moyes is just gonna keep spewing the same line about not wanting to sell him until Rooney puts in a transfer request. Grow some fucking balls and do it already! He doesn't and its not happening. End of.

Gudjohnsen and Drogba neither got 20 + goals during our title wins under Mourinho. We had a strong, stable side and goals came from all over the park.

Please stay Jay there isn't a problem, just return to how you were when you first started posting rather than calling other forum members cunts. Cheers

Oh I see... it's one rule for a Chelsea fan and another for me? People are allowed to wind me up, but I can't say anything back? Look Berke, no offence but you're clueless. Please leave this alone, as I won't be responding again. Or if you do at least look at what was said and comment fairly instead of trying to get the last word to attempt to make me look bad.

Please talk about Wayne Rooney, and not me...

How many goals did they score combined? Look at the last few seasons and the teams who won the League, everyone of them had a high scoring striker. It has become a necessity.

OMG do you want to go back to ultra defending shut out after scoring 1-2 goals again? Our current team can't do that, not capable of doing that. Not with players like Hazard, Mata, Oscar. Neither was world class at the time either, they were just good strikers. Drogba didn't become world class until a few years later starting from 2006.

There are only 3 world class strikers available atm, the rest are staying or have moved on:

Rooney-£35-£40m and £200-£250k per week

Suarez-£45-£55m and £100k per week

Jackson Martinez-40m euros and very low wages compared to other players, maybe around £50-£70k

Now if we don't get either of these 3 there are no point getting anyone else because they will not be improving our team.

We have Torres who did well in Europe, Ba who did well in the league, as well as Lukaku. Now we have a manager everyone respects and wants to impress. 2011, Rooney and Hernandez were under 20 goals each. We have three forwards who are each capable of reaching double digits in goals, not to mention with Mourinho under their guidance

It's been a dead deal considering United would be daft to sell him to us. We don't need him, never did. It would help our squad and versatility, but I have faith in Lukaku and for Mourinho to instill confidence and consistency within Torres and Ba

I think some of us have gotten too used to fighting for champions league spots instead of challenging for the title.

There wasn't a Man City side worth a couple hundred million £'s then or a United side with RvP.

We had a side with players scoring from all over the park last season and we weren't close to the title. RvP was proof last season that a top class striker can win you the league. He papers over so many of United's cracks its unbelievable.

YOU STILL HAVE FATE IN FUCKING FERNANDO TORRES? These preseasons games teach you nothing? Wow Ba is unlikely to score 5 goals next season let alone do well, Lukaku can scores quite a few but he will be quiet in big games. He is inexperienced so he can't become a big game player yet.

Ultra Defending? We had a solid tactic that literally had the opposition shitting their pants. Goals came from around the park and every player complemented one another. Jose had faith in Gudjohnsen and Drogba, and if he has faith in this current group of strikers, I will as well.

Bit much to be honest.

Well judging by the amount of goals scored he is in top 20 in Europe last season so he could be considered world class atm.

And how does one gain experience? Lukaku has proved that he is capable of handling the front man role. He scored a hat trick against United and tore apart Liverpool, on an average West Ham side.

Demba Ba was quality before his transfer, so we are to label him a flop and deny any of the quality he once had and place judgement on him, only after half a season? May I remind you he got us past United in the Fa Cup and got us back in the game against City?

Torres main flaw is inconsistency, which Mourinho has promised to implement in him
