Just a thought. Rooney is leaving utd because he is no longer first choice. But would he be first choice here? I mean is Rooney as lone striker better than Lukaku? For me he is best played as a second striker. Not sure he'd work that well alone up front.

He played as a lone striker quite often in 11/12 and bagged 34 goals.

That is just dumb. If he come in and bang in 30 goals next season while Mata get serious injured or fails at MU, we would all be laughing after the end of the season and say how we got lucky there. So? Use your common sense. It's a stupid offer that is highly unrealistic. They're using DM as their source. Same with Sky - they didn't actually say it's a £10m + Luiz/Mata offer. Just that an opening bid's been rejected.
