termninja 5,290
The more seats available the cheaper the tickets surely?Yeah, but expanding the stadium would cost. And where would we play while SB is being expanded?

ElNinoSemper 18
I'd like to see Kalou start with Torres in this match. Perhaps in a 4-4-1-1? There are no "safe" games but Copenhagen at home is as close as it gets so now might be a good time to experiment with the front line a little bit. MetsajCFC 1,255
We need to take it as if it was 0-0. Assumption is mother of all f'ckups. Don't be so arrogant, they are a good side and if Nico hadn't taken those two chances, the prospect of 0-0 draw would have been more than realistic. Start with our usual line-up - perhaps switch Ashley Cole->Zhirkov and give some other players a game off to be at their maximum for City given the fact that it could very well decide out top4 finish fate. Though I doubt any player wants to sit out during a knock out phase of a game of Champs League. If we are 1-0 or 2-0 up we should getting in McEachran and the likes. Getting a goal for Torres would be a massive bonus and boost, would give him the confidence and take pressure off to some extent against City. Laylabelle 9,535
The more seats available the cheaper the tickets surely?Doesnt work that way at the EmritesNervous about this one, think cause we have the 2-0 lead but as Jose used to say its only half time.Still another 90 mins to go and anything can happen and hopfully our players will think like that to.Cant see them not though with Carlo thinking the same.Strong line up,get the job done go say 3-0 up then start subbing etc
chrismada9 1,948
I really hope Torres will score for us in this game! His first goal is due I reckon. I believe in the first leg he was close to scoring because he ran into all the right places and he was close to scoring on a few occaisions. it'll be a lot easier for him at the Bridge. Ollie 4,400
Just play the strongest possible team, we can't be tired, no one can be tired at all with so many long breaks lately. We played Copenhagen tuesday, Man Utd tuesday, Blackpool monday and then it would be copenhagen the weds after. We're playing a game a week or more than a week, then we have man city and then another break for the Internationals for 2 weeks. Play the full strength teams, win both game. Has to be done. Peace. 4,352
CechBosingwa - Ivanovic - Terry - Zhirkov Lampard - Mikel - McEachranMalouda - Drogba - KalouTorres, Essien, Ramires, Cole and Anelka should be rested ahead of the big game against City. Good lineup actually. With Josh and Kalou we should have some creativity for once lol. Though I'd bench Malouda too, because with Kalou and Malouda on the pitch, our formation won't have any width. And I would play Bertrand at the LB spot and then move Zhirkov on Drgoba's left side.But... We didn't make a turnover against the Mighty Blackpool FC... So I doubt we will make any turnover until the end of the season lol.

The Big Drog 1,110
Ancelotti says we will have a strong team out and I can understand that, dont want to take any risks, not at this stage of the competition. That being said Id like to see this line up.CechBosingwa, Ivanovic, Terry, ColeRamires, McEachran, Essien, MaloudaKalouTorresI know the one people will question is why Kalou, but he did link up very well with Torres when he came on against Blackpool and we've already tried Drogba and Anelka with Torres so whats the harm in giving Kalou a chance. McEachran probably wont start but I can always dream right?
Kojo 4,676
I have a feeling that a Kalou - Torres partnership would work better than Drogs. Kalou on the right, Zhirkov on the left, Torres upfront. Drogba should not play, let him be ready for Man City. Anelka should come in the Second half if things arent going right. Otherwise a Josh start would be most welcome.Yes it would, Kalou will drop back, while Torres will remain upfront, on paper let it be them both together. I think Kalou would do well like that. termninja 5,290
LIke Bid Drog said. Our player shouldn't be tired, and there is no more messing around. Still, I do hope Josh starts and Torres scores, but Torres can also score his first against Man Shity on his birthday I don't care :eyebrows:
Kostas 1,468
Kalou as a link-up could only work if nobody marks him as that frequently happens when he's used as a sub. But I doubt Copenhagen would be that naive.

calculatingInfinity 1,472
Copenhagens old chairman (who was kicked out) is having a meeting with Abramovic Junior today in London btw, to discuss how Arkady Abramovic can take over. Personally I would love to get into the Abramovic family.
Ollie 4,400
Perfect game for Josh to play in i think. I'd actually like us to play Torres on his own in a front 3 with Malouda and Zhirkov on either wing. It wont hurt, will it.
spuz 143
I don't see us messing this up so the best thing to do here would be to rest a few players. Can't remember the day where our line-up didn't feature Lampard, Essien and Cole (would add Terry to that list but with Alex out and Luiz not being able to play, he has to play). They should be rested as we are about to enter the most crucial part of our season, McEachran, Mikel and Bertrand/Zhirkov being their replacements.Think we should switch back to 4-3-3 for this one:CechBosingwa - Ivanovic - Terry - Bertrand/ZhirkovMikelRamires - McEachranKalou - Torres - Yuri/Louda They've just had more than a week off. Full strength team ,we can't take Copenhagen lightly.April and beginning of May however is a different story.2 - April----------------Stoke5/6 - April -------------CL9 - April---------------Wigan12/13 - April----------CL16 - April--------------West Brom20 - April -------------Birmingham23 - April-------------West ham26/27 - April----------CL Semis ???30 - April-------------Spurs3/4 - May-------------CL semis ???7 - May----------------Man uVery punishing schedule with no rest in between. Looking at that now,if we do the CL & PL double will be some acheivement and a bit of a miracle.
