MetsajCFC 1,255
Am I the only one looking at the positives? Luiz is brilliant. If Kalou looked up once or twice, he would've seen Luiz in the box, ready to strike the ball into the back of the net! Total Football . Torres is showing signs of improvement, his movement was better than Drogba ever puts in! If he got the ball more, it would've been a beautiful night for him. A sound night for our defence (still think Mikel needs to be there) and 0-0 was a justified result. If we carry on being so sounds in our half, we can work on the attack without having to worry about defence. Positive signs for Chelsea I do agree but it's not even funny anymore how slow our wingers are. When they bounce on a loose ball (Fulham) they overrun atleast someone, but in my eyes Malouda and Anelka just ain't got that burst of speed anymore. David Luiz was brilliant. That penalty was harsh, never in a million years if you don't give penalty for the foul against Malouda in the box of Fulham. Mike Dean just prooved why the modern football needs video replays. That's one of the reasons clubs spend - so they could overcome opponents even if they've got a 12th man on the pitch. Having said that I'm happy with 0-0 given the ending. Thank God for Cech. This isn't the last game of the season so I'm positive we can reach the top4 in the end of the season. We lack motivation, passion and confidence. On the paper we're rock solid, on the pitch we're proving it the other way around. Come on Chelsea, wake up! KTBFFH
toddandrewblue 19
Sit the "regulars" in the league to make a point, and let the kids (+Torres, at least for a little while) play a few. If they don't play as shit as the usual starters, let them keep playing. Maybe put the old guys back in for CL games so they're fresh and have something to prove. Use those CL games to see who wants a spot for league matches. I believe there will be a massive shakeup this summer, but I do not think Ancelotti needs to go. He needs to stay and build his own team. I have always resisted the notion of letting Drogba go, but the money he would bring would help the club pay down debt and invest in other players. Sell him while he has some worth. Wouldn't surprise me to see many of the following gone this summer: Drogs, Anelka, Kalou, Mikel, Malouda, Zhirkov, Bosingwa, and Ferreira out this summer. It will soon be time to say goodbye to JT and Lamps as well - can't be sentimental and keep them to the detriment of the team.Keep Ancelotti and rebuild - may take a few years to get back to the summit, but Carlo needs the time to give it a go. I mean your points are valid and true, but we played like crap. Midfield and our two supporting/wide players were awful.Bloody awful mate. And it wasn't Carlo's fault. He tried to change our game, but players were clueless. We need more options, great attacking midfielder.I would put Gordon Ramsay as our assistant coach. He would know how to wake them up. chrismada9 1,948
plenty of effort ...but where was Frank again?I honestly think the years have begun to catch him up, and I think the injuries aren't helping him much either! The man who's meant to be dictating midfield like he used to do all those years ago just isn't at the moment.Ramires was our best midfield player, probably the best I've seen him in a Chelsea shirt as well. Give him credit, he made Murphy look like a school kid at times!

KTBFFHYeah wingers are a problem, but I was glad Ash & Ivanovic covered for our so called "wingers" on that front. Cole's definitely showing that attacking charisma he'd been lacking over the last month or 2, and Ivanovic/Luiz show they can handle themselves on the right. Malouda, imo, justified why he was dropped in the last few weeks, he's showing that same player we resented in 2007/2008. I think he needs to give 4-4-2 another chance. Ramires & Essien showed great improvement tonight, add in Mikel for cover & Josh as that wildcard. We've got something to work with.Your last few lines are a reflection of my feelings too. A win would've been great but considering we're not chasing the title now, a draw isn't the worst thing that could happen. We have games coming up where we can accumulate the points needed to capture 4th. Good luck to teams trying to break down this defence
Laylabelle 9,535
Why why why every time teams drop points so do we!!!!Chance to move 2 behind City and furthur away from Liverpool and keep up with Spurs and we play like shite!! Defending was pretty good just the rest.In front of goal god knows what happened so many shots and chances.Really hope Carlo's good at boosting confidence cause Torres poor bloke gana need it! And another week of Torres this and that from the media and crap
BLionheart 516
Seriously Henrique, you start to annoy me with your imidiate demands for Carlos head.It it is not his fault that our players can´t find the net. We dominated the whole game and had them in our pocket and i don´t know how much shots on target. FOR FUCKS SAKE, it is not down to Carlo.that is the lamest excuse i have ever heard !!!! if carlo is not responsible for that then who is ????do you think the problem is with lampard , Drogba , anelka , malouda , kalou , essien and torres ???? do you think they all have dropped form suddenly at the exact same time ???that could have been said if one player was good and the other wasn't but it's pretty obvious that the tactics are not right , we look very predictable , we all are watching the game anticipating every pass and every move our players would do !!! the only one who has surprised us is luiz .... if we fans can anticipate every move and play of chelsea then the opposition certainly is doing the same ... we need new tactics or new manager ??? and we desperately need a decent assistant manager that emenalo is useless . diskoviolente 425
It is not an excuse, it is the truth !What else other can he do than organising the match and try to adapt to the flow of the match. It is not him in front of goal ,it is Torres, Drogba, Anelka, Kalou and all of them can´t find the net and lacking effort. Don´t think Carlo is trying to motivate them and give them the treatment in the changies ? for fucks sake, how long are people saying it is the Gaffers fault all the time. THAT is a lame excuse. dodojojo 510
So frustrating to watch. Luiz looked so good and comfortable anywhere on the pitch. Torres was very lively and put himself into some good positions but was very poor and unlucky in the 18 yard box. I'm glad to see him putting himself out there but the missed chances must be gutting him (it's gutting me...). Still he'll have to hold his hand up and claim some responsbility. Having said that, Ancelotti has to keep playing him because he's keeping defenders honest with his movement and the sharpness will come around. I'm a little disappointed Ancelotti took him off because his movement was still a threat. Though Drogba was quite lively himself. The team overall is still lacking sharp passing and fluency from the midfield and I'm not sure what Anelka was doing.

I can't stand us getting yet another manager!

Abbott 14
I agree, it's not Carlo's fault Torres misses 2-3 amazing chances. That alone would have easily won the game if Torres had converted one of his chances. Not that I'm bagging on Torres but he has to do better.
