Steve 10,227
We get so many every game but continuously waste them. Whats the problem? Back a few season back, corners would be one part of our game where we would get countless goals. Is it the corner takers? or is it just lack of imagination and lack of practice at training. Its not like we dont have the players in the box, we have some very big lads but only seem to score them once so often.
Kostas 1,468
It's been a problem for months. Not practicing them in trainings. There can't be any other reason for such horrible corners.

LDN Blue 7,903
I think Kakuta's being trained to take them now. That's when/if he ever gets a proper promotion to the first team, in the mean time, we'll use them as our weakness - making us prone to counter attacks. BlueLion. 21,491
I hope not, I've not once seen him deliver a good ball into the box.
Kostas 1,468
I've not once seen him deliver a good ball into the box.Agreed.Ironically today his corner was our most dangerous .
Milan 17,964
It is being a big disadvantage for us, end of our attacking attempts lol.
eldo 868
If only corners were our problem. We have more of them
Kostas 1,468
It is being a big disadvantage for us, end of our attacking attempts lol.Exactly.Both our few fast attacks and our slow end up turning into corners.
BlueLion. 21,491
The irony is, as opposed to the past, corners are our biggest weakness... at both ends of the pitch. We simply do not threaten from them and we can't defend them either.
Kostas 1,468
and we can't defend them either. Not sure I agree with this.Even during our "bad moment" I've been fairly impressed with the way we defend corners especially in contrast to last year and I do realize that I picked the wrong day to say something like this. erinblue 27
corners-----------whats the point of them!!! may as well tell the opposition to take a goal kick....no-one seems to attack the ball, its nearly always a defender who heads it clear or keeper catches freely. No variation on corners, ---the mancs, scum and le arse can all come up with something different. For Drogs to be a big man (and very useful defending our corners/freekicks) how come he scores very few with his head---------Kalou/Boss + Ash/Flo getting to the byline is pointless cos every cross in is usually so easily defended---hes never there like centre forwards of old putting the fear of God (or whatever idol you have) into the defence/keepers i'm still spitting feathers after last nights performance (and past few months) so maybe i should relax for awhile and let the blood settle again (until sunday!!!) Wilson 358
Lampard should always be on them.
Mohamed Ammar 1
Lampard should always be on them.Agree , and that is the reason why it is useless for us last 3 months because of the absence of frankiewhen terry . ivano and Drogba are in the box and lampard cross it , it is horrible to any defence
Laylabelle 9,539
Well makes a change for us conceding from every sodding corner. Now we can score from them!Really annoying. You dont even think oo corner just oh here we go waste kick down the other end it goes! Madmax 9,219
One problem - delivery.Lampard in, should sort that out (to a degree).
Lampards Bitch 21
I honestly havent seen us take a string of decent corners since Raneri! Honestly I love Lamps to bits but I dont know what Lampard you lot have been seeing because he is shite at taking them, very rarely misses the 1st man. Loudie is okish but not much better,
LDN Blue 7,903
Its like I say, just get Drogba to take/practice them. The one thing he does well is deliver a ball with fizz & pace, this means the slightest deflection goal-wise from Ivanovic or Terry will beat the keeper (unless it's Joe Hart, who can just about reach anything!) I originally thought that not having Dids in the box was a bad idea as he is a goal threat but JT as we know will do anything to try and get the ball and Ivanovic does too like you said, And fizzed in ball is good weathr a Chelsea player scores or it ends up as an own goal by the opposition. Like I said we havent had decent corners for years and it needs to be sorted.
