5Essien5 33
John Terry is out injured so Paulo Ferreira will play as a centre-back.The captain had a nerve problem in training yesterday that is leading to pain in a glut and hamstring muscle.Nicolas Anelka returns to the starting line-up after injury with Salomon Kalou making way. Ramires replaces suspended Michael Essien. On a youthful bench, Jacopo Sala, an 18-year-old Italian midfielder or wide player comes into the seven.Sunderland make two changes. Phil Bardsley replaces Anton Ferdinand at left-back and Danny Welback comes into the side as Steve Bruce opts for two strikers. Kostas 1,468
Bruma should be massively disappointed for not getting a chance with 2 out of 3 senior CBs out.
chrismada9 1,948
Ferreira at centre back... geez, now we really are scraping down the bottom of the barrel! What on earth happened to Jeffrey Bruma??

LDN Blue 7,903
Gordon Onuoha - Turner - Bramble - BardsleyHenderson - Cattermole© - Richardson - ZendenWelbeck - GyanZenden back at the Bridge But that Sunderland team looks quite sharp. Gyan, Welbeck, Henderson & Richardson will be handful. Cattermole's developing a reputation for tackling hard to Mikel better be aware of him. But matching this up to our squad we should win this quite comfortably.
chrismada9 1,948
Darren Bent (or even Gyan) on form just at this moment... either one will have a whale of a time against Ferreira, that's what I'm fearing!Zenden back at the Bridge Zenden scored one of the 2 goals for Sunderland at the Bridge last season. Of course we won 7-2 that day
Rubber bullets 1,183
While I can't question Ferreira's tackling abilities, I think he won't be strong enough to hold off Gyan, verysuprised Bruma is not on.

Peace. 4,352
Ferreira as CB ? Meh... I think Bruma would have been a better choice.Still no Borini ?!.... I guess it's the end between we and him...
