Anelka's had an extraordinary career, played all over the world at many different clubs. Good to see he can finally call one 'home', Chelsea FC.

I admit, when we signed him back in 2008 I was thinking "This guy? Seriously?!" But my did he prove me wrong!! Good on you Nico! This is the perfect land mark to reach after what happened this summer. :cfc:

I was advocating for his signing the summer before he came. If anybody remembers we were playing Bolton at home towards the end of the 06-07 season and Shevchenko was playing for us and Anelka was playing for Bolton. The disparity in terms of quality between the two strikers was embarrassing. Had we had Anelka that season we probably would have won the league for the 3rd time in a row.

I love Nico, Haven't currently got a shirt with his name on the back but will have to one day.

And yes, his 50 goals and 135 games are the most he has scored and played for any of his clubs.

Don't think he will get there but hopefully he can push on and get near to 100. Well done Nico, keep it up. :cfc:
