BlueLion. 21,491
Well done on 50 Chelsea goals, Nico... achieved in a mere 135 games at a goal every 2.7 games (113 starts at a goal every 2.26 games). Stunning!
LDN Blue 7,903
Anelka's had an extraordinary career, played all over the world at many different clubs. Good to see he can finally call one 'home', Chelsea FC. I admit, when we signed him back in 2008 I was thinking "This guy? Seriously?!" But my did he prove me wrong!! Good on you Nico! This is the perfect land mark to reach after what happened this summer. :cfc:
Styles 9,790
I was advocating for his signing the summer before he came. If anybody remembers we were playing Bolton at home towards the end of the 06-07 season and Shevchenko was playing for us and Anelka was playing for Bolton. The disparity in terms of quality between the two strikers was embarrassing. Had we had Anelka that season we probably would have won the league for the 3rd time in a row. DavidEU 2,023
Most goals (and I guess games) he's had for a single club I think. Finally found his home. Hopefully he'll see his career out here. Great player.
boshman 1,073
I love Nico, Haven't currently got a shirt with his name on the back but will have to one day. And yes, his 50 goals and 135 games are the most he has scored and played for any of his clubs. Don't think he will get there but hopefully he can push on and get near to 100. Well done Nico, keep it up. :cfc:
BlueLion. 21,491
Certainly think he can get to the 75 mark, which will put him in the same bracket as the Hasselbainks and Gudjohnsens of this world.
