This will probably put more pressure on Brazil for the WC now but it's sure gonna be a fantastic tournament. I still think Brazil have a few weak links though. Fred is a great finisher but is he really gonna be their striker in the WC? and Jo, wtf? Hulk also doesn't look so great atm either. I'm sure they'll be better in a year though, i just don't think i'd worry about facing Fred and Hulk if i'm honest. No idea how Jo gets in, he's hopeless.

Brazil NT has been criticized - rightfully - for the media and fans a lot since the last WC. Bad managing mainly - but the coach and corruption in the federation - so I think this strengthens us because we needed the confidence push to improve.

I don't think most people think we're ready. We had many problems, but the thing is we've showed progress as the competition went.

It's the right way to go, but it's no way near to have reached the level required. The thing is in the big matches - playing home - what happened tonight may happen again... so we're contenders even though quality wise we're miles away from Spain and Germany

edit: I don't get why Torres get the gold boot if he scored as many goals as Fred... his goals against Tahiti should count as half a goal

Assists apparently but Fred does deserve it. That's when Torres should just give it to Fred. He's scored big goals every time. Torres won the Euro 2012 golden boot the same way lol. He must be one of the luckiest footballers ever.

Spain should learn well from this defeat.

Arbeloa should not start for spain, or for any team. Azpilicueta or Carvajal should replace him in the NT, Hopefully Carvajal buries arbeloa in madrid.

They need either Alonso or Martinez in the midfield with Busquets to revert back to the 4-2-3-1

They need a good forward up there.

Alonso was a big loss for spain this tournament. I might throw some dirt on him sometimes, but as i always say, he can still perform well in a good system, and as it is quite known, defending WITH the ball is a big thing for spain, and alonso's absence left a whole in the defensive scheme of things, and they were left apparently, with out a penalty man, as ramos was supposed to be that, but owned him self.

That would make more sense than assists if you ask me. If one scores more goals in less games, it's a fair untie criteria.
