Yeah, the future is not bright for the Socceroos, our next generation are fairly shit compared to their predecessors. We've had a great era from 1992 to today, we could have made 3 or 4 World Cups had it not been for Diego Maradona's Argentina knocking us out in 1993 and that farcical match in 1997 where we lost to Iran. 2002 we put a good effort in against Uruguay but they had too much for us in the end. And a reminder on what happened in Sydney in 2005...:

The squad that failed to make the '98 World Cup remains, in my opinion, the best Australian side of all time. We could have done something major in France, perhaps even gotten into the quarter finals.
