This is what I can't stand about Dutch football. You have a weak squad and you're in extremely poor form. Your defence has proven to be extremely vulnerable throughout the qualifiers. And you're best player is out too. What do you do? Attempt to play attacking total football. Even though you don't have the material to play that kind of football and win.

You have an away game against Turkey. Turkey's one point behind you in the group. Again, extremely poor form and you just lost against Iceland at home (!). Yet you decide to go out and play a high line. This defence can't play a high line, and has been exposed countless times, but you do it anyway. Even worse, you don't press. How do you not press with a high line? Insanity.

You can't afford to lose. Forget the Dutch philosophy, take a hint from Van Gaal at the World Cup and play defence. 5-3-2/3-5-2, whatever you want to call it, and hope for a few good moments up front and possibly steal a win. If not, you're odds on to get a draw because Turkey lack individual quality and have been struggling to score goals.

And I haven't even mentioned player selection. Or the fact that a coach with 1 year experience as head coach was appointed.

But no, Dutch philosophy comes first. Following the Dutch teachings is what they do best. Losing is what they do best as well.

Now it's time to sit back and enjoy the hysterics and madness.

Are you completely out of contention now? No 3rd place shenanigans? Haven't really been following the qualifiers

It's very unlikely now. Two games left. Turkey two points ahead in third place. Winning the final two games is hard enough without having to rely on Turkey to drop points. Don't think the people will be drinking, smoking and dressing like idiots next summer. Well, let's be honest, they will be drinking and smoking.

3-0 haha. This is so sad.

Robben might be the most important player in international football.

Especially, in Europe. Holland has completely sucked without Robben, while other teams can adapt, holland cannot. Holland was overrated in the world cup, but now, everyone can see how crap this holland team is...

"Why haven't we seen the Belgium we were expecting?"

"Because that team is imaginary?"
Made me laugh :D

Also Iceland qualified for the first time in history.
Czech Republic qualified as well.

Italy top goalscorer is Chiellini with a whopping 2 goals.

Croatia really fucked up... now we need two wins against Bulgaria and Malta (not that hard) and Norway must not win against Italy in the last game (also should happen) and we'll be 2nd.

It's likely gonna happen that way, but we played really bad this 2 games...

That is true, but Croatia is the first in the ranking of third placed teams. You have 12 point and a +9 gd, behind you is Ukraine with 12 points and and +8 gd, Albania, Hungary with 11 points and Russia with 10. That's just to walk straight into the Championship. But you are assured 100% to have play offs in case something goes wrong in the remaining two games. I'm sure we'll see you there in 1 year :D good luck!

Rooney now equalled Bobby Charltons record. Both embarassed by hairloss with ridiculous remedies. One a laughable combover, the other a £32 000 transplant.

32 000 incidentally, is the population of San Marino. The only country in the world with more cars than people, and thats a fucking fact.

It is arguable as to who scored more important goals against better teams. Both are stat padded as all hell.

Rooney equals Charlton’s record on stupid hair cuts

Much to the delight of San Marino fans, Wayne Rooney put on a vintage display of ball skills and ‘comb-overs’ during their Euro 2016 qualifier. The England captain has now matched Sir Bobby Charlton’s distinguished career of covering up baldness, with a ‘head merkin that defies belief’.

Waving to the crowd, Rooney smeared a range of salon products over his ‘shredded-wheat forest’, until it resembled something found down a plughole. Although many footballers have offered glimmers of dome brilliance, only Rooney has maintained a consistent level of gossamer concealment. However a strong breeze forced his peach fuzz to be substituted in the second half, for Harry Kane’s more resilient quiff.

Despite this, Roy Hodgson was critical of the performance of Swansea midfielder Jonjo Shelvey, who ignored team orders by turning up with a ‘shaved noggin’. An FA spokesman said: ‘A bald pate is no excuse not to don a ridiculous wig. A cultured long passing game is all very well, but fans want to see a mullet, a Jason Lee pineapple or at very least – a Keegan perm’.

Anyone else think Jonjo Shelvey has a real chance of cementing his place in the England team? Looked good so far in the PL and not out of place either in the England team. Shocked Carrick doesn't get a game though. Like even the 2014 WC, imagine starting Gerrard over Carrick... to play as a deep lying midfielder....
