Brazilian league is not shit.........

I don't watch it too much so I won't judge, but is it better then PL? Does a player as ambitious as Neymar want to stay there, or move to one of the biggest clubs in the biggest league where he has chances to play in Champions League along players such as Torres, Drogba, Lamps and Terry against teams like Manu, Arse and Shitty?

Can he really become the World's best player while playing in Brazil? Of course not, and I believe that if Santos received a nice amount of money for him they would let him go. If Neymar did wonders in Brazil like Messi does in Barcelona people would always say that Brazilian league is nothing compared to Europe and its clubs.

Hell, if I was him, and a team such as Man United (which I hate) sent an offer for me, I'd consider it.

If I was a manager and I had a player as great as Neymar in my club and I received plenty of money for him, hell I'd say yes. With that money I could bring more players in and invest in the club.

I dont know why this thread is still open, Neymar isnt going nowhere right now. He is staying in Brazil until 2014.

No need to lock it just because you think he is staying in brazil...

I've seen better defending in u12 girls matches

The brazillian league certainly does not have it focus on defending, that they defended terrible doesn't mean that he isn't a great player though.

He is still 19 years old, in 2014 will only be 22. Young enough to start a career in Europe.

Its not only up to Neymar, he is under a contract, he is receiving really well and he is playing for the club he really loves. Santos wont release him for less than the buy out clause ( 45m euros ), because Santos president is a guy who believe that the europeans come to Brazil to steal the young talents, and that Neymar is better for example than Torres, and now that we paid 58m euros for Torres, I'm sure Santos president wont release him for least than the buy out clause.

This is not necessarily what I believe, but is what Santos president believe, and Im sure that Neymar himself believe he is better than Torres and is worth 45m euros.

So, I dont believe that any club in Europe would made a 45m euros bid, because nobody in Europe would be convinced that he is worth that money until he play a major tournament ( europeans believe that only football in Europe and the World Cup are a majors tournaments ), and so will only a "major tournament" in 2014 WC, where if he succeed, top clubs in Europe will be convinced to pay that kind o money.

I understand what are you trying to say, and you could be possibly right. I'm just not into Brazilian league and I don't know how do the Brazilians watch at their players and what is their general opinion. But as you said, he is 19 years old. Very young and ambitions and that could be something leading to a transfer. I also won't forget that we were very close on bringing him at the beginning of this season and the facts that we've got 3 brazilians at the moment in our team with Piazon coming in next season.

Besides that I have to agree with you that it would be better for him to stay at Santos a bit more and continue playing at this impressive level. He really is a great player, and I wouldn't like him being our player and performing bad with immense pressure on him.

Getting accused of destroying a young player as promising as Neymar is something our club doesn't need, and bringing him in a league as physical as EPL would also be a risk. One serious injury and it would be very hard for him to return into form like this.

"Hey Rebecca"

It's a gamble but we need a player like this. As for everyone slagging off everyone elses league? Erm...

But yeah sign him up if we think he can do it. My only concern is playing in the Brazilian league and playing Blackburn away on a wet Wednesday night (not slagging off the league just saying standard of defense is different). Just worried because thinking about Robinho. But of course it will take him time to adjust because of age... but fuck it, let's do it :tiphat:

I think Robinho struggled because he didn't get on with the backroom staff. Neymar will have plenty of Brazilian contingent to walk into, so he will be respected by those places, and I'm sure that the other players, knowing his exceedingly good talent will help him settle in quickly!
