Edinson Cavani storms off after disagreements with Neymar last night

PSG striker Edinson Cavani stormed off from the Parc des Princes last night after a series of on-pitch disagreements with team-mate Neymar over set-piece taking.

The Uruguayan forward left the Paris stadium 20 minutes after the full-time whistle through the back door, without passing through the mixed zone to speak to the media.

Embarrassing images emerged of Dani Alves taking the ball away from Edinson Cavani who was trying to take a free-kick so that the right-back could give the ball to Neymar instead.

A similar, very public disagreement occurred between Neymar and Cavani over who should take the penalty, with the Uruguayan eventually succeeding in getting the former Barcelona man to back off, only to miss the eventual penalty after a great save from Lyon goalkeeper Anthony Lopes.

PSG manager Unai Emery’s post-match response to the incidents was seemingly inadequate: “I have told them to sort it out between themselves.”

Les Parisiens ran out 2-0 winners in with an unconvincing performance against Lyon last night. However, the supposed chemistry between “MCN” is already clearly crumbling.

In L'Equipe, they report on how Cavani confronted Neymar in the PSG dressing room post-match, calling out the Brazilian for his attitude.

And the former Barcelona man did not take too kindly to the remark, allegedly reacting angrily and causing Thiago Silva to intervene before the rift became physical.

With ex-Napoli man Cavani not willing to lose his position as the club's foremost goal-getter to the world record signing, he nonetheless attempted to calm matters by stating he 'had no problem' with Neymar after the 2-0 win.

A cheeky £25-30m bid for Cavani in January? I'm not his biggest fan but honestly he's on another planet compared to Batshuayi.

He will move only to be the main striker. Unless we start playing with 2 strikers, and there are no signs whatsoever that we ever will, then how do you fit both him and Morata in the same team?

Honestly Neymar is such a wank. Imagine strutting about demanding to take all free kicks penalties etc and then getting upset when someone who has been there for like 4 seasons questions your attitude when you've been at the club for maybe 2 months, trying to call all the shots to help himself more than the team. He'll never be in Messi or Ronaldo's league. If he thinks he will ever win a Ballon D'or with that attitude he has another thing coming. Imagine leaving an extremely challenging and high pressure environment like Barcelona for PSG anyway. I mean talking about Cavani he was fine playing second fiddle with Ibra years and years ago, maybe he wasn't overly impressed playing on the wing but he did it can't see him being too annoyed about having to play with Neymar.

I think he could play Pedro's role in 3-4-3 or as a second striker in 3-5-2, next to Morata with Hazard or Cesc behind them depending on the game. But yeah you're right, he wouldn't come to Chelsea only to sit on the bench. Moreover, he's 30 so likely the club would only be willing give him a 1-year contract.
