EskWeston 696
Blimey, talk about just in the nick of time!!! Lets hope this is true, and that he will be ready to play tommorow because we could definately do with a half decent striker up there tommorow. Aesthetic Relic 301
Just seen that myself....adeed it into the rumour mill on the thread Great stuff
EskWeston 696
So does he start tommorow or does he only make the bench, the fact that he won't have had a training session will possibly mean the bench for him, but we need to have him on the pitch really. Aesthetic Relic 301
Couldnt agree more. He's been scoring regularly for Bolton and the chances we would create for him he should fit into the set up pretty easily. Its not like he's not gonna be match sharp.Get him straight into the mix I say. Pizarro doesnt exactly fill you with confidence as a lone striker. What have they got to lose, it will be interesting to see what he can bring to our team and what he can do with the chances presented to him. James 5,343
About time and apparently he can play tommrrow! Chelsea will complete a £15m deal to sign Bolton's French striker Nicolas Anelka on Friday. BBC Sport understands that only formalities remain and the 28-year-old will sign in time to figure in Saturday's game against Spurs. Bolton have confirmed terms have been agreed and Anelka will sign a four-and-a-half year contract at Stamford Bridge. Bolton had earlier rejected a £12m offer from Chelsea for Anelka. Chelsea are without Drogba and Salomon Kalou, who are away at the African Cup of Nations, while Andriy Shevchenko has an ankle injury. Shevchenko and Claudio Pizzaro, their other senior forward, have scored five Premier League goals between them this season. Bolton boss Gary Megson said: "I have spoken about the situation with Nic and we agreed there is not a massive amount he or I can do. "It is just as to whether the clubs can reach an agreement. I am still hopeful they can't and he stays here. But that remains to be seen. "However, the deal has to suit all the parties - the selling club, the buying club and the person involved." Elliott 7
Of course we throw him straight in, he's miles better than Pizarro. We just have to say to the team, get the ball to Anelka if you can and we'll be well away.
