soccernut 2
He guys,I am a fan from Calgary, Canada ...I am coming to England for vacation late September. I will be only in England for a few days, so the only time I am able to see Chelsea is on Sept.25 Away at Man City.I was wondering if anyone here can give me advice on what is the best way to get guaranteed tickets to the match. I am planning to go with my wife and my three months old (Gianfranco) to the match.I see that I can get the international membership, but I can only buy one match ticket on the 6th of september with the option to buy more on the 13th. I am not sure if I will be able to get the extra tickets later on.If anyone is able to get the tickets for me under their memberships and I would reimburse them the price + a gift, it would be something I would be VERY happy to do as well. Also, I am not sure on what the procedures are in terms of bringing a 3 months old baby to the match. I realize things work quite differently at stadiums in England. Any advice is welcome.I would really appreciate any help any of the forum can help in any way. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for me as it is not quite often that I can travel to Europe and I promise to sing along as loud as I can.Thank you in advance. and Sorry for the long post. We Hate Scouse 10,326
You will need 2 memberships if you are going to purchase tickets that way as it will definitely sell out on 1 per member. There's some very nice people on this site, I'm sure you would be able to find someone to help you out. Also I'm not to sure what the situation is with babies. I know they can go to the games, but I'm not sure if they need a ticket or not. Probably best if you contact the club first and see what they say about it. Good luck in getting the tickets - Hope it all goes well.
Corlett 202
I'd be happy to let you use my membership for this game.
middleoftheshed 388
You will most likely need a ticket for the baby even if you are holding him, stupid really but health and safety etc. .Although personally I wouldn't take a baby into the away end, but if you think he'll be ok... soccernut 2
Corlett, thanks for the offer, I will contact you soon about that. I am assuming that you are a ST Holder. If I can find another one then it would be great assuming that two are enough to include my son. If not, then I will have to wait until the 6th and buy a membership.Middleoftheshed, what should I be worried about if I take the baby?what should I expect in terms of ticket prices? We Hate Scouse 10,326
Middleoftheshed, what should I be worried about if I take the baby?Nothing as far as I can see. You get some idiots at Citeh that shout stuff behind the police that's about it. The only time to watch your back is when going in and out of the stadium, although I'm positive no one would even attempt to kick off with you if you are with a little one.And probably about £40-£50 for an adult ticket and about £20 for a child. In which you can do on the official Chelsea site. Reasons being, i am not sure what they would say about it. As at the stadium it is very loud. You can email the club here, http://www.chelseafc.com/page/ContactIframe/0,,10268,00.htmlI also have a membership in which you would be able to use if need be. As i am trying to build loyalty points for when i go overseas.

middleoftheshed 388
Middleoftheshed, what should I be worried about if I take the baby?Mainly the noise and if we score it will get a bit mad - might scare him and also we stand at away games so it's not as if you can sit him down on your lap. But obviously if you think he will be ok then theres no problem. And prices are £46 for lower tier and £48 for upper, £25 for under 16s. In terms of noise, the boys loves it and sleeps right through it.... I will have him strapped on to my chest so standing wont be an issue.Corlett and Steve, I will PM you about the memberships. How do you guys want to do this? Do you want to give me your membership info and I can go online and purchase them with my credit card? is there a form of online ticket delivery system? or do you guys have to purchase and receive the tickets and then pass them on to me?Thanks
soccernut 2
Hey guys, I was looking at the website for ticket news and it shows that the Man City away tickets are "SOLD OUT" for the ST Holders.http://www.chelseafc.com/page/TicketNews/0,,10268,00.htmlDoes this mean it will be sold out for sep.6th when the tickets are released for the regular members? or is there a separate allocation? Thanks
middleoftheshed 388
Away tickets are split 60-40 in favour of season ticket holders and it is their allocation which has sold out, members can buy theirs next week.

soccernut 2
I just got my tickets. Thanks to all who have helped me with this. I just have a couple questions:1. How will I receive the tickets? Are they sent to me or do I collect them at the venue? 2. Where will I be sitting? There was no options to select the seats? I know there is a dedicated away fans section but where within that will I be sitting?ThanksEdit: sorry if my questions seem stupid but I am used to the north American ticketing scheme

Your tickets will be posted out to you (That's what happened for me anyway)2. You will only know where you're sitting when you receive you're ticket. Nobody is given the option to choose a seat, you just have to take what you get.
