Time and time again I ring these bastards and spend half the fucking day listening to some asshole saying....

"If you want to listen to me talk shite for 5 minutes...... press 1"

"If you want me to bore the fuck out of you with my irritating voice......press 2"

"If none of these messages help you at all in the slightest.......press 3"

"If you want to hear these messages again and waste more of your time....press 4"

After listening and pressing the equivalent of 15 mobile numbers trying to get fucking help they decide to tell you that the fucking place is closed and will be open tomorrow between 8am and 10pm.......

the main objectives of companies introducing call centres are because they dont want to spend more on man-power just for the sake of attending to customers' complaints which are more or less the same...companies also thought that by imposing the call centres,they can avoid congestions in their telephone line...

but what they seem to miss out is that nowdays customers/consumers value time and would want to speak directly to a REAL person about the problems that they are facing when they call in,and not to some voice-recorded bitch...

If they can outsource to India, Bangladesh etc where people are paid sometimes a tenth of what they have to pay here they will.

Did a bit of Business studies, how wanky is that ?, anyway to any employer their biggest overhead and one they're always trying to cut is staff.

Another worse example of 'outsourcing' here is the Government making hospitals responsible for their own budgets, and allowing them to use companies to do the cleaning. Agency people dont have the employers burden of pension, sick pay, holiday pay etc. The workers dont see it as a 'proper' job so dont mostly care a fuck about what they're doing. Result ? Thosands of people have died from going into filthy hospitals and acquiring Clostridium Difficile or the MRSA virus. Just because the government want to save money. Yet they're perfectly willing to spend up to £100bn on the Yanks latest nuclear missiles.

Absolutely spot on there. If we use bank/agency staff we try to use the ones we know can/will do the job properly, you wouldnt believe some of the shite we've been sent over the years. Some of them lazy, some just downright bloody stupid and a decent command of the English language seems too much to ask as well apparently.

Yeah to be fair you cant blame the employees -the employers will get the people, be them immigrants or chavs , to work for the most little reward. The average person doesnt want to be a skivvy with no prospects. At the end of the day, its greed . This Labour government have continued with the Tory deregulation of working practices, which means going for the cheapest option. It means depriving people of decent salaries, they cant afford a house or have any chance of a pension when they're older. ...meanwhile MPs are allowed to vote on how much their latest massive pay rise will be.

Essentially its all about taking money from the poor to make the rich richer, and ''fuck you lot if you die in a filthy bug ridden hospital''.

A lot of the owners of these private companies, are the same shady donors to the Labour Party. Surprise, surprise.

They have then been allowed to 'win' with the lowest bid, contracts that are paid for by our taxes. All these companies are interested in, is dividends for the shareholders, and multi thousand pound salaries for the 'Directors'. Meanwhile you, and I and Joe public get a shoddy fucking service at best, disease and death at worst.

I'm a psych nurse so obviously all this ranting's being noted.

Its a false economy though seeing as the agency staff earn a fortune, so obviously the nursing agencies charge ridiculous sums of money to fill our staff shortfall and yet it was the government that decided redundancies were needed in the first place. So instead of having more dedicated nurses who want to do the job, we have lazy, useless agency staff only there for the money half the time. And when it comes to having someone watch your back I'd rather not rely on some part-timer tbh because the NHS, under the government's direction no doubt, do sod all to help once you've been battered.

Its about time we outsourced MPs and the government,- surely someone could do their swanning around and travelling to weekend cottages cheaper ??

As for call centres -Top Tip. Always ask to speak to a manager. If you dont get customer service, mention writing to your MP , and they'll bend over backwards to help

Well Psychiatric nurses get to retire 5 years earlier than general nurses.........or at least when I qualified that was the case, not sure whether the government have changed that for new nurses. Emigration sounds like a plan though.

The mother of my kids was a psychiatric nurse then a ward sister. She is mental, but I am biased now. No, she is mental. Must be catching from the patients, though she did used to say it was hard to distinguish between the staff and residents sometimes.
