Ankit 3,176
Why do people wear their watches on their left hands?Well, i am right handed and lets say i am writing my exam. Now if i have the watch in my right hand, i will have to stop every time to check the time and then start writing again. Hindrance. Similarly i hold my coffee cup, beer bottle in my right hand, have to check the time but can't spill the beer. That's a crime. Hence left hand! PS: Why do you ask? Is it because you like to debate using fallacious, specious argumentation?Or2. Because you fell into the trap of relativism?Either way .... I can cure you my friend! Rmpr 8,977
1. Is it because you like to debate using fallacious, specious argumentation?Or2. Because you fell into the trap of relativism? It is definitely the first one, but the problem is that I know it is wrong but I still agree and make use of it. There is nothing better than winning an argument or convincing others and I am really good at it, so it is hard to change. Relativism is still a problem, but I am not as bothered as I am with the arguments...

Relativism is still a problem, but I am not so bothered as I am with the arguments...1. Personality: a lot of people score low on agreeableness and just love an argument. This is not a disease, Rmpr. 2. Situations: strong contexts (with a lot of emotional value for the one doing the debating - eg you talking to a spurs fan about who was best yesterday) drive people to do this - even when you havethe most ethical/agreeable personality3. Culture: south american cultures are proe to 'polychronic reasoning', which means debating or the sake of debating. It is a custom. 4. Ethics: if you think the goal justifies the means .... You are going Machiavelli. Sorry to say, but this will evntually cost you. Conclusion: everyone thinks (or should feel what you feel) like you. Read this crazy good, readable brilliant book. It will be an inspiration in your life for years to come, I promise! http://www.amazon.com/Why-Everyone-Else-Hypocrite-Evolution/dp/0691154392Also, try to be more than that. This is why some people choose to have morals AND act upon them. I know you will too, thats why I consider you a friend. Hug.
