I like Don Letts alot and met him a few times at BAD gigs and here n there but I reckon he still made too much of the Oi skins.

Skinheads to start out were sharp. They had style,class. They had to being 1 offshoot from mods. With their love of ska/soul and with alot of the 2nd/3rd  generation Jamaicans at the dos they were getting high with each other. Sqapping dope for speed.

I really never was into the 10 eye cherry reds n red braces, more of a suedehead. But with Skinheads coming from the Hard mods (mods into ska/soul and not the psych/garage scene) they took the fashion to one extreme.

It was great getting dressed up sharp. Loved the tonic stapressed/mohair suits. But my daywear would be a black 3 silver button blazer with my initial badge on breast pocket. 3 point blue n wite hanky with tie pin, White fred perry or button down Ben or Brutus. Had a rainbow of diff color stapress and loved me fringed,buckled,tassled weaved loafers and white sox.. |Sometimes with the brolly.

My uncle was one of the Shed boys in late 60s but he was a Mod. He took me under his wing at 13 so I grew up well before my time. As well as taking me to Chelsea he took me upto Manchester and Stoke to the biggest soul clubs of the time. Inside you had all sorts. Skinheads/modsblack /American servicemen/Jamaicans all getting down to Ska and different types of Mod/Soul. All studying each others dance styles and making their own versions. There was never any hassles racial wise only from the cops doing drug busts.

But in 72 I got deep into Northern Soul and scooters and fashions went crazy. Out with the sharp clothes. In somes the knuckle dragging, bulging eyes and the swastikas. The rucks we had with that lot on the ANL marchs.

It was a sad end to what was a good scene. IMHO of course/.

It wasn't until the second wave of skins that there was any racist edge if I remember rightly ? I used to go to Blues Jamaican clubs in the 70s and skins n rastas mixing well. This was on Saturdays and Fridays. One midweek we were bored teenagers, it was January, and we were fucking freezing, and went down early to a Blues, sat at the end of a long basement in Brixton. These two black guys strolled towards our group. pulled out axes, and ..... started chopping firewood. Not before my mate literally shit himself.

haha 1st impressions can often be wrong.

When I was in my teens I would do some business with a big black Hells Angel from the Windsor lot andI 'I'd take a mate now n then who always shit himself. And the guys mates would joke about being seen with me this young guy on a hairdryer (me Lambretta) But they knew I didn't care who they were and after awhile I got on well with all of them.

I got into Speed (amphetamines. we dont have smokable speed here in England then) from the age of 14. I got into it big time with a girlfriend whose dad had 2 chemists we would raid olld stock. So as well as the normal street sulphate/Blues I was doing Duramin/Durophet/Biphetamine etc. All had great names like Green and Clears/Black and White Bombers/Black Bombers/Phylon etc I ended up getting a 8 a day script of Black Bombers at age 17 in 1974. I was always scared of needles which is the reason Im alive mow.

But of course with an addictive personality speed wasn't enough. I went thru a stage of doing alot of Acid and 5 of us always locking ourselfes away for days doing bottles of LSD listening to Dylan and  Floyd.

But I found Heroin in 1980 and thought it was the B all end all. It took me 2 years of doing it every day and then not having any to realize what a habbit was! So after that I made sure I wasn't without.

I got up to a 7 G a day habit as well as doing 3 or 4 g of Coke and all the other good stuff like MDMA and Ket.

Ive always maintained a very good life, made a good living and great social life but got tired of getting busted and got a Methadone script of 150 ml a day about 10 years ago.

Now on 40 ml a day and not had any gear for 3 years tho I dont mind a line or 3 of charles now n then and of course I wont stop smoking green.

Ive knwn many who were just content doing a bit of speed/coke at the weekends and even known one or 2 able to take smack now n then but the amount of friends (and my unclle who got me into Chelsea and my love of music) that Ive loist thru ODs and drug influenced health problems makes you realize that not many get out alive or in one piece.

I know I'm a lucky one.

I'm just on my way to Goa for a few weeks. I dont get back till7th Jan so give those Spuds some verbal for me guys! I HATE NORTH LONDON!!!!

Came here to post about something else but just came across this.

Wanted to know about Acid. Never done it before but want to, friend who has said it changed his total perspective on life and you can hear it from the way he speaks now . Is it really that live of a trip? Smoke a lot of green, done MDMA once (want to again), but never anything that trippy. 

Also wondered, have you done DMT? That's one on the bucket list!

2 ways you can do acid. Either for chilling out in calm surroundings with some like minded people having good chats or going bonkers at partties and kicking up some dust.

Done alot of acid over the years but leave it to the full moon partys in Goa now. Lovely seeing the sun rise and steam coming from the dancers bodies. Ive never had a bad experience no matter how much Ive taken but Ive had good friernds that have, including 1 that thought he was Jesus and was sectioned for 3 months, another thought he was Bob Dylan and booked into a big hotel in Knightsbridge phoning the music papers giving interviews (he looked a bit like him only 20 years younger lol) and another that  thinks hes living a story that somebody is writing and its some sort of a detective with clues being left for him in strane objects and people who he meets have been sent to take part in it. This has been going on for 30 years!! All these lads were well used to taking it and had good heads so its not just 1st timers who can have psychotic episodes.

If youre going to do your 1st one try to do it in a comfortable setting with a mate you trust thats done it before. He can take you thru it and talk you down if it gets too much. Ive ever met anyone who has these visions of monsters n shit. Its mainly light sensory with traces.

But it does open your mind.  It lets you think in tangents and give you more questions than you have answerts for. But you have amazing conversations that you wont remember the next day. And if you set a recorder going all  these deep conversations will sound like gobbledygook.

Acid isn't for everyone but if youve got one of those inquireing minds I'd recommend it. Made me alot more open minded

Now DMT is like a stronger acid. Its very much more thought related. Your imagination can run wild thinking and seeing very bizzar images that can seem quite real. I wouldn't do this till youve got a handle on acid.

I can't add anything better than what UnionJack has, but if you consider it worth the hassle (I do) you can consider ordering your LSD from the 'dark web'. You will never, ever, be hunted down by police for ordering a tab of LSD, they just don't care, but this way you ensure you're actually getting LSD at a level as pure as it can be, as opposed to whatever you'll get on the street. There's a review system just like eBay, with around 2-3 main vendors. I sometimes wonder if London drug dealers know about the dark web. Setting up a PO box, buying a garage somewhere and having chunks of coke delivered would cut out or supplement the other middlemen they deal with. There's around 20k profit in each KG but obviously you have to know how to move that much stuff, which most don't (it's by selling to other dealers of course, not selling it all in 1g amounts on the street. I think. A friend said.) 

A saying should be made along the lines of, if you want to make money from Food, sell to Chefs, not Consumers.

But Ive seen things that have been discontinued/banned now here in UK but still prescribed in several other countries. Why I like going to India/Thailand as they have very friendly pharmacists.

I used to order hundreds of G of green from dark web. Lost.. wait for it... 420€(!) once, probably confiscated. Decided to quit because it got too dangerous when laws were made stricter for ordering drugs online.

Doint know what the laws are in UK for importation but IF I was to ever send myself owt thru the post I'd stick someone elses name on it and have it sit there for a few weeks then open it far from home in case any trackers been added.

The Cannabis laws are ridiculous in England anyway. We had a time where it was 'decriminalized' for posession under a certain amount but the cops still kept up their stop and search around where I live in South London. All the cafes/head shops/seed shops were turned over and kids getting pulled for a G. Yet other places just confiscated.

Right now you will get a fine at most for personal cultivation. Say 10 plants. Turn it into keeping mothers and taking numerous clones it gets harder but still be a suspended sentance for 1st timers. Theres so many doing homegrows now that we rarely import weed anymore and our homegrown is as good as you will find anywhere and so easy to grow. It takes money out of all the cartels and villains hands. But sayingf that theres also more groups of didicoys and pikeys going round robbing growers too.
