danwkb 11
Currently in a pub garden overheard a guy talking who was talking about being a cobham groundsman, ( seemed kinda ligit , apparently a palace fan, but was wearing training gear ) asked him about ramires, said he's already been there, which kinda makes me wonder why things apparently seem to be on the go slow. I also told him to tell em to get auguero, he said he'd try!

Randall 315
So Friday they'll reject it, Friday night we'll appeal, a week later it'll be overturned and granted and he'll join. HOPEFULLY. Or maybe they'll grant it straight away. Maybe someone involved can pull their finger out of their arse and get him in our team ASAP! Haha. Jose M 140
Chelsea Hoping To Conclude The Signing Of Ramires By This Week August 9, 2010 Chelsea No2 Ray Wilkins has revealed that Chelsea are hopeful to conclude the signing Benfica midfielder Ramires this week.Chelsea hope to make an addition to their own squad in the next few days, having agreed an £18.2million fee with Benfica for Brazil midfielder Ramires.Wilkins said : “Nothing has been finalised as yet, but we are certainly in the mix for Ramires,”.“We would like him to join us and hopefully that will go through pretty shortly.”Asked if the player might figure in the Blues squad by next weekend, Wilkins said: “We would like to think something like that would happen.”

EskWeston 696
Ramires work permit turned down, Chelsea have appealed and the hearing is on Thursday.Where has that been reported?Could make sense i guess, considering we all knew he wasn't eligable. Now goes to a panel to decide if he classes as an exceptional player or whatever it is they call it...
chrismada9 1,948
Ramires work permit turned down, Chelsea have appealed and the hearing is on Thursday.I knew this was coming
Kostas 1,468
Where has that been reported?I saw it here.I'm willing to believe them.I knew this was coming I wouldn't worry too much about it,I'm sure the club has know about this possibility, given the amounts of money involved. Randall 315
To be fair Chelsea will be able to argue that he will bring something to the English game so I don't see why a work permit will be an issue. I was only worried about the medical.
The Big Drog 1,110
This is insane, Alex's work permit was repeatedly rejected and now Ramires too? Do you ever get the feeling that not many people like us? Im totally nervous now as to wether the deal will happen or not, not aided by the fact that he is seriously needed in our midfield. EskWeston 696
Like i said, we all knew that he wouldn't automatically pass the rules for a work permit. I am sure they have to go through the whole process of applying, then appealing to just get it done. I am sure Chelsea were aware it would take this long. Manuf 1,448
Was Hernandez rejected? I bet not...
Kostas 1,468
United went through the same procedure when they signed Anderson and Hernandez and Arsenal for Denilson.Besides he wouldn't be able to come here before the Brazil friendly. Randall 315
Hernandez was rejected but they appealed on the grounds he's an exceptional talent. Is Ramires an exeptional talent? I do think so. So I think on Thursday all will be fine.
chrismada9 1,948
Was Hernandez rejected? I bet not...That's what makes the whole damn thing embarassing to be honest. United can sort deals out quickly... we can't!
Randall 315
This EXACT same thing happened with Hernandez?! There is no preferential treatment here seriously, just wait until Thursday.
