Chelsea have agreed a fee with Benfica for midfielder Ramires, according to Sky Sports News sources.

The premier league champions have been strongly linked with a move for the dynamic utility man with some suggesting he had already completed a medical. But sources at Sky Sports have now claimed a fee has been agreed between the two clubs in the region of £17-£18m.

The formalities of the transfer should be concluded in the coming days.

Ramires sent yesterday , a message of warmth and comfort to supporters of Benfica, having announced the preliminary agreement on their transfer to Chelsea for 22 million euros.

I can not wait for ramire's first bone crushing tackle hahahaha !. Finally we have someone else in the team with midfield pace and drive, essien is not going to be the only one that we rely on to drive us forward with the ball.
