Peace. 4,352
I wonder where Ramires will play...!In the 4-3-3 case, the midfield gonna be : Lampard - Essien - MikelIn the 4-2-2 diamond case : Mikel in front of the CB, Malouda on the leftside, Lampard at the diamond point and Essien on the right side.Because i don't really see Ramires stronger than Mikel... nadavTKL 1,787
Now when we will probebly signed Ramires and our midefield looks just great, the only "problematic" position left is the right AM/ right forword. there is three fine players- Anelka, benayoun and Kalou, but i dont know if they good enough to help us to win the CL that we want, and reachieve our double in 2010.What do you think? Carlo have to add another player, or that Anelka-kaluo-benayoun, or even Kakuta are good enough?Ill be happy to see someone like Robinio or Aguaro in chelsea, but may be we dont need them, and we are good enough now to compete Barca and Rial for exemple.. Im realy dont know X: Edited August 4, 2010 by nadavTKL

EskWeston 696
If we were to line up like this.....................................Essien...............Ramires...............................................................................Lampard...............................................It would in my opinion give us a very strong and dynamic midfield. And make it easy to slot players in for rotation or injuries.

Steve 10,227
Playing Lamps at the tip of the diamond didn't really work last year.Lets hope it can. He has made it work before. I think with some better support he would do a great job there. But i guess we can only wait and see!
EskWeston 696
Playing Lamps at the tip of the diamond didn't really work last year.Don't like the diamond full stop! It just doesn't work and we are 100 times more creative with the 4-3-3...................................Essien........................Ramires...................................................................................Lampard..............................................................Anelka...............................Drogba.....................................Malouda...Not too shabby and with the likes of Mikel, Zhirkov, Benayoun, Kalou, Kakuta, Sturridge ect and back up we are looking in pretty good shape. Peace. 4,352
Mikel still has a lot to learn, it's not his season yet...I guess you are right. But i think that Ramires has the same things to learn... Ramires has spent just one season in Europe and it's in Portuguese league...That's why i guess Mikel gonna be a titular at the season begining, at least, until that Ramires get experience (I'm talking about EPL and Champions' experience). LDN Blue 7,903
Benfica have confirmed they are in talks to sell Brazil international midfielder Ramires to Chelsea. The 23-year-old joined the Portuguese club last year and was an integral part of their championship-winning team. The Eagles said in a statement to the Lisbon stock exchange that the two clubs are working on a deal, but provided no further details. The estimated deal for the Samba star could be in the region of around £17million, although neither club have mentioned the finances involved.Ramires played in four games for Brazil at the World Cup in South Africa and has made 15 international appearances, scoring two goals. He would be the club's second major signing this summer following the acquisition of Liverpool's Yossi Benayoun to replace the departed Joe Cole.|| SkySports ||
Clevemayer 764
i'll say this again, Ramires will be a box to box midfielder, not a DM, thats what you're reading about him everywhere...anyone see the hamburg match? Mikel was our best man on the field...ramires will compete with ess and Lamps, not with mikel, you'll see... mark my words...in the DM there is at this moment NO ONE to compare with mikel, calm, superb pass ratio (last year was 97%), superb interceptions, hes just getting better an better by every season, and to the ppl that tell us mikel wont get better, you said the same shit two years ago and he has come forward leaps and bounds since then... whereas ramires lives by his speed and his tackling... and his energetic displays (same like lamps and Ess)...
