BlueLion. 21,491
Wolves boss Mick McCarthy has no imminent plans to sign Michael Mancienne after he submitted a transfer request. The Chelsea utility man, who has undertaken two previous loan spells with Wolves, has decided to call time on his Blues career four years after turning professional.McCarthy insists Mancienne's decision to seek first-team football away from Stamford Bridge has nothing to do with Wolves as he is not looking to strengthen. The ex-Sunderland boss is not ruling out bidding for Mancienne at some point, however, he admits he would need to trim the club's wage bill first."I guess people should ask their (Chelsea's) manager Carlo Ancelotti whether we should read anything into the transfer request," said McCarthy."If I was reading anything into it, I suggest he wants a transfer! But that's the first I've heard about it. I'm not looking at signings at all at the moment."We need to lose some players rather than take any more in and certainly won't do any more business unless anyone leaves."http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,12876_6283382,00.html

BlueLion. 21,491
Don't really see much point in keeping him to be honest, he's nowhere near as good as Bruma.

Pro' 0
He now rather plays in front of the CBs as a defending Mid. He kind of good in this position. here is a game he played against Arsenal and he was amazing ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vovGAa2nW1c ). Might be great as a sub, caus he can also play as a full back or a CB.
Madmax 9,219
It'll be a shame if he goes without having a chance to prove himself for a full season in the first team squad.

BlueLion. 21,491
Chelsea have denied reports that England Under-21 international defender Michael Mancienne has handed in a transfer request. It looked as though the talented young centre-back was ready to call time on his career at Stamford Bridge after five years with the club.Mancienne has started just two Premier League games for the Blues in his time in West London and has spent significant spells on loan with QPR and Wolves in the past four seasons.Molineux boss Mick McCarthy has refused to rule out a move for the 22-year-old earlier in the day amid reports that he was on the market.http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11668_6283808,00.html
DYC. 7,542
I'm glad it's not true. I would love for him to stay in the squad and finally getting a real chance. For some reason i like this guy and his playing style (as a DM). I hope Ancelotti keeps him this time and he can fill the role Belleti had. Blue_Swede 4
One things for sure. We don't need to sign a new defender. Not even if Ricky would leave. With Mancienne and Bruma in the squad we have enough quality at the back.

Man Utd and Arsenal do it, why can't we. It's not like their youngsters are better or that much better than ours.
