West Stand Lower 1
Chelsea fear skipper John Terry could be ruled out for the rest of the season, according to reports. The England captain fractured three bones in his right foot in a challenge with Emmanuel Eboue during the 1-0 defeat by Arsenal at Emirates Stadium on 16th December. The club initially announced that the inspirational centre-back would need at least six weeks to recover from the setback, with the player setting his sights on a return to action in the middle of February. But reports in the national press indicate that the Stamford Bridge club are concerned that Terry's recovery could take longer than anticipated. The Blues skipper, who has been given a protective boot to wear to aid the healing process, is due to have his foot re-examined when he returns from holiday in Dubai. Avram Grant is already looking to bolster his defensive ranks during the January transfer window, with a move for Lokomotiv Moscow's Serbian international centre-half Branislav Ivanovic on the cards.source = sky sports news

Fulham Broadway 17,364
Yeah heard this this morning. They were painting a worst case scenario, saying the injury is a lot worse than expected and he will not play at the same level again. Which is why the club is pushing through the signing of Ivanovic.
EskWeston 696
Just basically a story for the sake of it! He could be out for the season "if the recovery is not handled properly" These breaks happen a lot these days and he will be back in as short a time as possible i would guess. The Ivanovic deal i would presume is for the replacement of Ben Haim as we have given them a price reportedly. MikeCFC 45
It will be a massive blow if Terry is ruled out for the season, but the show must go on,and losing sleep over it certainly is'nt the way.

Some Gooners have been very critical of him of late.....but still blinkered by their Wenger-esque comments of not seeing anything wrong with his tackle
EskWeston 696
With Alex becomming more and more comfortbale and confident, we miss JT less than ever before. But JT is still our leader and the best centre back there is, so the longer we are without him we will suffer.

manpe 10,861
That's it ... There it is, the reason why we're struggling. Our captain is injured all the time and we miss not only the best defender in the world (and sub him with someone who is barely in top20), but also a captain. And not only him, other captains also (Lampard vice-captain, Drogba cpt for his country and an inspirational force, Cech the confidence booster in defence)FUCK

Layla 0
I bloody hope not!Though did read the other day that he cant put pressure on him.Long as when he does return its when he's ready and not like they did with Cech, shove him on when he clearly hasnt recovered thus doing more damage. And we do miss him!As said his Captaincy, his performances and his orgainsation of the walls etc when defending set pieces. We lost him last season for yonks didnt think we'd loose him again
BlueLion. 21,491
Aye, putting Cech in against Villa was a huge mistake. I'd rather we had played Hilario, at least I would be certain we had a fit goalkeeper.

MikeCFC 45
Why do we have such long injuries?? seriously though, JT cant stay fit for 2 months.Sack the Medical team!!! Seriously,me and my pals were mulling over our injury situation yesterday. One of my pals reckons that Jose 'over-used' the likes of JT and Frank in terms of matches played. He even played them when they really were'nt needed,so their injuries are catching up with them now, probably down to wear and tear.Makes sense if you ask me. pippin 0
rubbish! if you look at the non league teams that played in the cup yesterday they had played ten games in the competion to get to that point that plus there league games means they play more than your lower league prem side and you can bet your life they use the same group of players week in week out ... a group that also work full time!! yet i bet they dont have all this fuss about injuries...was discussing this only last night! the amount of injuries in todays game must be due modern design of boots and balls and the fact that the premiership is played at a faster pace... or so phill from portering is convinced
Ollie 4,400
he wont be out for the season, thats only if there are further problems, if everything goes fine and how it should go, he'll be back in a month and thats what surely will happen. I reckon 6 weeks max. This story is just stating the worse case scenario. There's other scenarios that may happen.
