If the youth is brought in and blended in with the established lot and they're allowed to mature in the side, it could be VERY scary for the rest of the league.

Mancienne is definitely ahead of Bruma in development. Apparently we've rejected a loan bid and a transfer for him so we must have plans for him and he will most likely be ahead of Bruma in the pecking order for centre back.

Mancienne may be ahead of Bruma in terms of development but Bruma is ahead of Mancienne on pure ability.

It is not really clear who the players Carlo plans to use next season but the most important thing is that he does plan to use the youngsters more, he has done well to use so many in his first season and we can hope to see more of it in the coming years.

I think it would be a very big risk in putting mancienne in a centre back position. I think he would be eaten alive by players like kevin davies.

I think from Bruce Buck's recent interview and various other noises coming from the club that the chances of us making a big signing are very small indeed. Expect something along the lines of last season where we signed Zhirkov, Matic and Sturridge. This means that the club will be really needing to draw on the young players and it could be that Carlo really does see the likes of Kakuta, Stoch, Bruma and Hutchinson stepping up big time next season. I think it could be very good for the club as these youngsters really could be world class.

I mean Stoch is every bit as good as Kalou, Kakuta certainly can replace Deco, Hutchinson can step into the right back spot so easily when needed and Bruma more than capable to cover at centre back instead of Carvalho. Also i see no problem with Cork being cover for one of the midfield spots.

The thought of kakuta playing in the centre of the park annoys me. I want him to have a free role so he can just float around and pick the ball up and play through balls and dribble with it. I would like 3 solid midfield players with 2 flair players next to drogba/anelka. My opinion is stoch is a better winger than kalou, even kakuta is better when his real best position is behind the forwards !

Kakuta has the ability to play a number of positions and that is good for him. I agree that ability to get past players makes him ideal for a wide position, and Stoch and Kakuta out wide would be great, but i just see Kakuta's best chance of regular football being in the centre pulling the creative strings.

Ideally I would like to see a Christmas Tree. or a Diamond purely to accomodate Kakuta.

A CT Formation:

----------------------Cech-------------------

Ivanovic--------Alex-----JT--------A.Cole

Lampard-----------Essien--------Malouda

-----------Kakuta---------Joe Cole

-------------------Drogba-------------------

With Anelka/Kalou/Sturridgebeing rotated at the Tip on the treewith Drogba, Kakuta and Joe Cole.

A Diamond Formation:

---------------------Cech----------------------

--Ivanovic-------JT------Alex-----------A.Cole

----------------------Essien------------------

---------Lampard------------Malouda-------

----------------Kakuta/Joe Cole------------

-------------Anelka/Kalou---Drogba/Sturridge

But with 4-3-3 proving so productive....I think Carlo is going to stick to it.

Which begs the Question: Where will Kakuta play in 4-3-3?

Definitely Kakuta. I hope he can be Chelsea's "Ronaldo or Messi"

He is very similar to messi in the way he keeps the ball very close to his feet when dribbling, plus he has a better long shot than what messi has. This boy can be the greatest player the premiership has ever seen, in a attacking sense he can even score headers which is crazy for a small playmaker like him.

Messi also scored the 2-0 against United in the CL-final last year with a header (another similarity OMG ), but i think Kakuta should primarily focus on his other qualities. He doesn't need to become a player wich is good at headers, that is not where his quality lies.

And guys, please don't fucking hype the kid so much. I also believe he can have a very bright and spectacular career in front of him, but when i read these posts i get the feeling everyone is expecting him to become the eight world wonder instantly next season. He should grow, not get forced into that amazing footballer.

Same for Bruma. Some people on here want to have him as a 3rd CB. What are we expecting from a boy of his age? That he can easily slot in to Chelsea's defence when asked? I can assure you that how good he may be, due to his lack of experience he will give us enough to worry about every now and then! I think immediately being 3rd CB is a bit too much for next season.

And before i get slated; Let me make clear that i really do think and do believe we have got some amazing talent in Kakuta, Bruma, Matic etc and don't want to take anything away from them, or the people who have such a diep belief in them. Just to give some perspective :tiphat: !

Since gael kakuta has came to the club he has been awsome, he is the most skillful player i have ever seen in our academy. I expect lots from gael kakuta because he is a talent, no physicality just pure ability like luka modric and zola. Players like carlton cole just get through the youth teams and reserves by pure power, kakuta will get through with his advanced vision for the game.

I think we're taking Kakuta's skill way out of proportion here. He is going to develop into a fantastic player and is a brilliant prospect at the moment, but comparing him to Messi and Ronaldo...Come on!

Yes he is no were near ronaldo and messi at the moment i agree, but how did them 2 players become so great ? they both had the confidence of the fans and the playing staff to become world beaters. In my view if kakuta does not make it at Chelsea our youth set up will need a complete revamp.
