Aston Villa vs Chelsea

Thought our atmosphere was absolutely shit until we scored. It was all Villa first half, then they really upped their volume second half, to which we FINALLY responded.

Sing when your winning is so typically us.

It always is at Wembley, the final last year was decent but apart from that it's always crap.

I was lucky that quite a few around me were up for it so I stood for most of the match. After last week at OT anything was going to be an anti-climax though.

I was higher than I'd ever been aswell row 38 - still had a great day can't wait to go back hopefully vs Spurs. blue%20scalf.gif

Yeah I know, but even last years semi against Arsenal was slightly better. It's really about the luck of where you're sitting though. It's mainly like a whole block, or a group of 20-30 people that get things going between themselves. Of course though when we were winning with ease everyone was up singing, although that still didn't get half the people up a few rows ahead of me.

Hope the atmosphere will be better against Spurs on Saturday, although it wasn't great from us last year tbh.

I can't criticise the fans seeing as though I wasn't there, but it seemed that the fans - and players - were a little bit nervous in the first half. Cranked up the volume in the second half though, especially after the goal, and I joined in with a few chants

glad you had a great day ..hope you can get a ticket for the finalblue%20scalf.gif

Wouldn't count on it, going from what I understand happened last year, but hey on the other hand I suppose there could be a chance that members might get a look in if they make more tickets available for both clubs. Just being prepared to spend an afternoon in a good pub to watch it and get pissed.

Here's something I meant to ask about yesterday. There were a group of lads behind me who started a chant which had Edgware Road amongst the words, can't remember the exact words, but they kept referring to Edgware Road. Not really sure what the the meaning behind this was?

I'm also curious as to why we chanted USA at the Manure game last week?

United fans hate the Glazers, amercians, Because of all the debt the club has because of them. There Amercian, So thats why I'd say.

I was working so didnt get to see the game, and havent found any highlights on Sky Sports etc so just watched a few clips on youtube.

Our goals were all good goals, did JT mean to pick out Drogba for the first? LOL.

Malouda's was a well worked goal and Lamps showed great composure for the 3rd.

I dont think JT's tackle on Milner was a bad one, yes he caught him, but he went for the ball and got it, then caught Milner on the follow through.

Didnt see AVFC's penalty appeal though.
