Steve 10,227
Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard is confident that his side will not succumb to the same lapse in form at this time of the year which cost them the title last season. The Blues managed just three points from three games over the last Christmas stretch, and there is a distinct feeling of déjà vu developing in the buildup to the same period this time around. Again, Chelsea will be pitted against Fulham and Aston Villa, while similarly to last year John Terry and Petr Cech look likely to be missing to them due to injury. "I can see there are parallels. But to be fair in terms of John in particular, we didn't have cover for him last year,” commented Lampard. "We had to play Michael Essien at centre-half and out of midfield. It made us weaker in midfield and while he did really well, he's not a centre-back. "This year we've got players who can come in and cover that.” The English international did acknowledge that Drogba is a big absence and that the points accrued over this stretch usually prove to be of vital importance. “Obviously we miss Didier, because he's probably the best striker in the world. "You can't drop important points over this period. There are too many points on the table and it makes it very important for us to win these next three games and hope that the others slip up. "We are only six points behind and we've still got Arsenal, United and Liverpool to come to our place in the new year. "Anything is still possible and that's the feeling we have. That's not as easy as it sounds but that's the way it is. "We now have to go on a real run of winning games and hope that then we'll have the big players coming back. "The players we've got here are capable of going on that run without the injured players. "I'm pretty confident we can go and win all three games."Source: www.goal.com

BlueLion. 21,491
I don't think today's performance was anyone's fault. It was one of those crazy games where the referee gets a little up his own arse.

BlueLion. 21,491
We never were going to win the Premier League this season. The ACoN was always going to make sure of that if we hadn't already slipped up. We need to fight for 2nd place, however. We don't want to have to play two extra CL games. Layla 0
It all be easier once Livscum play their game in hand.Least we'll know where we stand after that, hopfully still in third and nearer to the other
BlueLion. 21,491
Even if the Scum win their game in hand we will still be a point ahead of them. Plus they have to travel to Manchester City next weekend.
