That one would be at home though, not that we'll need one ;)

Yeah i'm sure we won't need it. Silly question, i'm assuming that a replay only happens if the result is a draw? Also what's the reasoning behind them coming to us for the replay?

The chances of us drawing away to Preston aren't as minimal as you make think IMO. We'll have to put out a very good side and put in a performance to beat them. If we don't, a replay or loss would be on the cards, which is something that very well might happen.

That's just tradition as far as i'm concerned, I've never known anything different with replays.

Thanks for the explanation.

It has always been the case in the FA cup that if the first tie is a draw a replay is played at the other teams ground. In the past there has even been 2nd and even third replays, often at neutral grounds. But the fixture congestion meant extra time and pens were introduced to decide drawn replays.

As for Preston it won't be easy (look at Leeds!) away games against lower league opposition are always tricky as the crowd will be well up for it and so will the players. An early goal will be crucial. It was good to hear Carlo Ancelotti in this football article saying he is taking the cup seriously.True I would love the Premier League and the Champions League, but there is something special about a day out at Wembley,as we found last season.
