Chelsea captain John Terry rates teammate Michael Ballack in the top three players in the world.

The Daily Mail says Terry voted Ballack as the second best player in the world! To make matters worse for Terry, he later showed that he did not even know who he had voted for by claiming he had picked Lionel Messi as No 1 - when, in fact, he opted for Didier Drogba. At least Terry’s club loyalty is admirable.

Despite his Messi claim, records show that Terry rated Ballack’s contribution to football over the last 12 months (four Barclays Premier League goals and one for Germany) to be greater than that of the Barcelona star.

The German has been in and out of the Chelsea team this season, and his contribution could hardly be described as significant.

Terry and Fabio Capello were among the captains and coaches from 147 national teams invited to take part in the annual poll. Everyone was asked to name their top three in order but not allowed to select players from their own country.

I heard about this, had to laugh really. Didier had a bad start to 2009 and Ballack has been pretty shite all year lol.

Ha! Didier in the top 10 maybe but not number one, especially considering the form Ronaldo and Messi have been in the past year. And Ballack second i think you just have to laugh at really. But like the caption said.. at least you can't doubt club and player loyalty. lol.

Well tbh look at Barca players, i bet they all voted for Messi, Xavi and Iniesta so JT obviously just did his Chelsea boys psychologically to say fuck off to them, i can vote my players too.
