Man City defender could leave and join Premier League rival

Chelsea, Aston Villa and Liverpool are all in chase for the England international

News of the World reports that Man City defender Micah Richards could leave the club in the summer. Richards (20) has not had the progress everyone would have thought.

He played for England as a teenager and has 11 caps to date. He has not been involved much under Fabio Capello and a move away from Man City is likely.

Liverpool was earlier mentioned as a possible new club, with Chelsea also a candidate. Aston Villa is the latest club to be linked with Richards.

Would be a useless signing, wouldnt be cheap, he is very injury prone and we have Ivanovic, Mancienne and Rajkovic who are all better than Richards imo

Chelsea are considering a £12 million January bid for Manchester City defender Micah Richards.

The People says Richards, 21, is keen to move away fromEastlands to kick-start his faltering career and it is believed thatStamford Bridge chiefs have been making enquiries about him.

Blues boss Carlo Ancelotti sees rightback Richards as a rough diamond and is intrigued by the possibility of signing him.

I have a mixed opion on this.

Do we need another right-back? Probably

Do we need more English players? Hell Yeah!

Will Man Shity let him go for such a price? Hell No!

I think we would do well to sign a right back, and Richards would be a very good signing in my opinion. It all depends on the price..

He's is a very good player, but do we really need him?

I mean, if Bosingwa returns, we've got Bosingwa, Richards, Ferreira, Beletti and even Ivanovic who could play at right-back. In the centre we also got enough players i think? With Terry, Carvalho, Alex and Ivanovic! Add Richards to that list and we'll have 5 potential right-backs and 4 potential Centre-backs, isn't that a bit overdone?

Well i like Bosingwa but there was talk of him leaving, if he does leave then i would have Micah as first choice RB.

Tricky choice though as we have a few RB's.

We have Bosingwa and Ivanovic at RB so most likely not IMO.
