Given Andre' recent buys I'm not too concerned if we do get him. I personally don't think he's a top class player at the moment, like someone said above, average in every aspect. We don't really need more of these types of players, I think we need creative/passing specialist like Modric, Xavi, etc (though not those exact players obviously). If it was up to me, I'd go for Montolivo who will be available on a free, and I'm sure could be motivated to come here for various reasons. But it's now up to AVB and his scouting team and if they obviously see something that we don't, I'd say go for it.

He's a better option than Mikel, as versatile as Essien as can also operate as a CB or box-to-box. Potential successor to Lampard, wouldn't be the worst signing in the world. He is a consistent performer for Everton however it is fair to say he has yet to live up to his billing.

He would be a good signing but i think if josh had the same amount of PL games on his back as rodwelll he would be much better!

I think our goal should be to give josh playing time here our out on loan and we could have a young, English, playmaker that loves the best club CHELSEA!

Yeah, he has yet to live up to all the hype around him.

That being said, he is young and there's a lot of place for him to improve. Plus André will be able to mould him like he wants to, due to his young age. And in my opinion, his versatility could be a good thing for us. Even though many say he is an average player, I think it is safe to say he has a lot of potential, otherwise he wouldn't be scouted by all the good teams in England. So if he does really possess this potential, we should sign him and help him to fulfil it.

Absolutely, Jack will become a great player, I think his development has been hampered because I don't think he knows what his best position is.

Not sure about him.

He's got untapped potential, no doubt. At the same time, he's more defensive than offensive. Though he is capable of the latter (i.e. that goal v. Man Utd). We have several players in this mould, Ramires, Romeu & most importantly.. Josh McEachran.

A year ago, I would've probably said yes. Right now, if this were Jordan Henderson, then definitely.
