Aesthetic Relic 301
Chelsea TRY TO PUT LIVERPOOL IN THE DOCKChelsea are to cite the alleged hounding of referee Martin Atkinson on Wednesday night by Liverpool players as part of their defence against a FA charge of failing to control their players. The club are in the dock after events in the last minute of November's match at Derby when Chelsea players surrounded the referee following the dismissal of Michael Essien. Earlier in the season, they were fined £30,000 after a similar charge following Mikel's sending off against Manchester United. Rather than accept another meaningless fine or deny their guilt - manager Avram Grant insisted after the game at Pride Park that his players were entitled to harass the referee - Chelsea reportedly intend to compile 'a video of incidents involving players from other clubs that have gone unpunished'. Accrding to The Daily Telegraph, 'That documentary evidence will include scenes on Wednesday following the sending off of Peter Crouch for a two-footed lunge on Mikel. Chelsea claim that following the red card Atkinson was surrounded by furious Liverpool players.'
EskWeston 696
And the ref was surrounded by Liverpool players. Good on the lub for doing this, with all the evidence it will make it hard for the FA to not do something about it. It makes me sick that we get punished for every slight incident but every other team gets away with it.

After the defeat, most of the reporting concerned Liverpools no disgrace exit, fielding a second string side etc. No credit given to us. If you believe the media it is only us that has a "squad" of players every other team has a starting 11 and that it, the rest of their squad is "Second String" or "Reserves"

BlueLion. 21,491
They would be classed as back-up if we had all our players fully fit, in my opinion, so you are quite right, Tri-Blue.The media hate us, and that won't change until we become a mid-table club. BlueLion. 21,491
Well, Kalou has played more than any other player this season, which surprised me when I found out. Next most-utilised player is Joe Cole.

BlueLion. 21,491
Well when you have United's chief executive on the board, you can't help but realise why Chelsea are hunted down by the FA
