Blueboy 14
Had a really solid performance against blackburn last week. And then you've got to realise he's only 17 years old .
EskWeston 696
Delighted to see Bruma got his debut. Bruma is a proper talent and one hell of a prospect. Playing well above his age contantly will only improve him. Have to give Carlo credit, he is more than willing to include our youngsters. Borini, Hutchinson and Bruma all getting games with the first team already this season..
Blueboy 14
Yes, i can agreee with you on what you're saying about carlo. The youngsters are getting more of a chance nowadays then during the Mourinho/Grant/Scolari/Hiddink era's. Let's hope we keep scoring a lot of goals like we did in our last few games so they can get even more time on the pitch (that i want the Chelsea to score a lot goals is standing on its own btw ). Luke 60
When was he last time a 17 year old got a run out for the first team? It hasnt happened in the last 4-5 years or so, this lad must be rated very highly by the looks of things. He was solid vs BR, but didnt really break into a sweat, hopefully we will see a more appearances from him in the FA Cup 3rd round etc (depending who we draw). BlueLion. 21,491
I'd like to see him in the CC away at Ewood Park, alongside JT in the heart of the defence.
James 5,331
I saw highlights of him against Blackburn on Chelsea TV earlier. He gave a performance like his been playing for years making tackles JT would be proud of. Hope to see more of him in the coming weeks if were in a situation were he can come on. 5354 204
How about Hutchingson man?
EskWeston 696
He should have started against Blackburn in all honesty but he certainly proved he is more than capable with the time he had on the pitch. Hopefully another run out for him at some point today. He can certainly overtake Mancienne and Hutchinson, Hutchinsons career looks like being slowed alomost to a stop by injury but Bruma is looking something else...The fact he is going to be eligable for the FA Youth Cup this season and will play in it too says everything about the ability of this young man
Clevemayer 764
@eskis hutchinson injured again? He was looking so bright and his future was looking really good.Bruma seems to be a really good defender.

He was looking so bright and his future was looking really good.Bruma seems to be a really good defender.Yes Hutchinson is injured again. He has had some very serious injuries and it has got the point to where he doesn't train every day with the rest of the team he has days off to save him from getting injured again. It is a real shame that serious injury looks like stunting a very promising talent - so much of JT in Hutchinson too.Bruma is a very good defender and he takes every new step in his stride. Duppy Conqueror 1,537
on season loan..according to the Daily Mirror.Chelsea's young Dutch dazzler Jeffrey Bruma is ready to sign for Steve McClaren's German champions Wolfsburg - and get his first real taste of the Champions League.Skillful defender Bruma is set to be cleared to join Wolfsburg on loan for the season despite making a rare appearance in the Blues line-up for the opening friendly with Crystal Palace.Bruma was wanted by McClaren when he was at Twente Enschede, but now the former England chief has earmarked him as one of his key captures in his new post in the Bundesliga. The talented 18-year-old is not rated ready for double-winning Chelsea yet. The Londoners think he will improve with regular competitive action and come back to play for them in a year.

Madmax 9,219
Interesting. Could be good for him to gain experience in a top league where he should be guaranteed decent minutes. Does this mean Carvalho will be staying one more season?

Does this mean Carvalho will be staying one more season?yeah..i`m not a big fan of loaning players out normally..but this loan could be a good one for JB and us..he`s obviously a quality player but with him not being 19 till November, there`s no need to rush him into our 1st team..i`d rather him have 30 or 40 games in the German 1st division than play in our reserves. but i hope they have an agreement that if he doesn`t play regularly that the loan is cancelled.i`m glad that if the report is correct Chelsea see his future role with us is at CB ...he can do a job anywhere at the back and DM if needed but think CB is definately his best position.it may very well mean that Riccy will stay for another year..have noticed that the reports of him leaving for Inter have gone quiet this week..so this may have something to do with that...or it could mean Mancienne is having a shot at CB with the 1st team..(or perhaps Van Aanholt after Bertrand impressed at LB on Saturday..) could mean quite a few things i guess..i should imagine that Ivanovic will compete with Alex to partner JT now aswell as compete with Bos for RB spot. Duppy Conqueror 1,537
i just noticed that Wolfsburg are described as German Champions and that they play in Champions league..i know they not Champions this year (were in `09 i know) and didn`t think they qualified for the CL either...they seemed a far way off in 7th position when i last checked out the German league in about March or April..but they do mention Steve McClaren so it`s definately a recent article. I hope the club decide to keep for this season atleast. I dearly want to see him get some regular footie with us. Don't want him to be judged by his loan spells (where he was decent, btw.) I was surprised to see PvA playing as centrehalf against Crystal Palace the other day, didn't know he could play there.
RX8 40
Well After the Game With C. Palace.... I have to said that he is the most promesing young player.... I thing It will be great see him in a Top Club and a Full season.... But that only if Anchelotti will let him out of the bench...We hace Terry, Alex, Ricky, Cole, Bosingwa, Ibanovich, Yhuri. I do not see more space for him at this moment, but there will be no problem to him in the next years.... I see him playing like a real Chelsea Player.. Keep it up Jeffry....
