Franco Di Santo on loan at Blackburn Rovers

Recommended Posts

Franco Di Santo has this evening joined Blackburn Rovers on loan until January 1.

The 20-year-old Argentine forward moves on a half-season deal to Ewood Park after a lively pre-season, in which he scored one and set up the other in our 2-0 win over Club America.

Di Santo arrived at Chelsea from Chilean side Audux Italiano in January 2008, proving a sensation in the reserves with seven goals in eight games.

His form on our 2008 summer tour of Asia, which included another two strikes, saw him become a permanent member of the first team squad and take the number 9 shirt.

Last season, Franco made his debut at home to Spurs in August, and went on to make 16 appearances, all as a substitute.

WHY THE HELL DIDN'T HE COME ON!!??!

Especially when the striker you have on can't score one goal, hopefully Sam uses his head next time and DiSanto can get the match time he went there for. He wasn't sent there to wamr-up the fucking bench.

yep he came on in 65 min , Blackburn was the weak side in this match especailly in second half so Franco don't touch ball many times and teammates don't even look for him on the pitch. I think Sam don't know what Di Santo can do so i only hope he will find out that soon.

He is expected to be out for a few weeks, which is definately a blow for him. He was working his way to getting some starts as well which would have done him the world of good. Lets hope when he is fit he will get the chances and the games he needs.

Oh, well, still months away until his loan ends so he'll get some games. I really hope so or the loan will be wasted...
